       Clan tags?
       By: Loon66 Date: March 22, 2015, 1:05 am
       ---------------------------------------------------------
Ok, so I have been welcomed into the CGI Clan. (I appreciate it)
So why don't you use tags?
All clans I have ever been in use tags.
It's a way of formally saying, " I belong to this server, I am
special, I am on the inside, as where you are not. It gives one
a sense of pride. This will create in others a desire to also be
       in the CGI Clan.
Any admin can change their name so as to monitor a server for
cheats, but others, be they new bee's or just people that you
don't trust to have admin rights, can wear the tags, but don't
       necessarily have admin rights.
The last clan I was in, use to have about 200 members & over one
thousand as registered on the website, only a few of those guys
donated to the clan as a lot were either studying at uni or were
kids. But we were still able to raise about $200 a month to
assist in the running of 15 servers both Cod4, Battlefield 3 &
4, as well as CS-Go servers) also the cost of TeamSpeak.
This is why Clan tags are important, they give a player a sense
of ownership to the server which they are regularly playing.
so some of the Clan tags that I have had are as follows. Just
       examples of course.
       AK|Loon
       RBL|WingNut|G
       {SOB}Crazy|A
       (RIP)CrazyPing|A
       tK-OldGuy|A
       (TAB)Oldguy|A
Most Clans just have members. So Clan Tag then players name. And
admin usually have an A after their name so that potential
members know who to ask questions from, but RBL had a military
style rank which members had to achieve certain tasks in order
to qualify for each rank. This way they took pride in the clan
and wore their rank with pride having earned the right for each
level. Example below- highest to lowest. Usually announced with
       a letter after their name. G, LG, C, FM, Lt, S, P, R
General- Clan owners or most trusted of proven admins. Had the
rights to change website, TeamSpeak and Server settings.
Lieutenant-General - Had the ability to ban players
indefinitely. Rank up members up to Colonel rank. Could kick a
player for as long as they saw fit.
Colonel- Had the ability to rank a member up to FM rank, Could
kick a player for no more than 2 minutes
Field Marshal- Could rank a member up to Lt rank. Could kick a
player for to more than 2 minutes.
The above ranks were the only ones that
       were permitted to use Rcon
       ----------------------------------------------------------------
       ----------------------------------------------------------------
       --------
Lieutenant- Could rank a play up to Sargent.
Sargent- assisted with general queries both in-game or from the
lower ranked members. Only questions that could not be answered
by a Sargent were allowed further up the chain of command.
Private- Need to bring in 5 people into the clan
Recruit- New member, trial period of 1 month, and those who's
attitude would see that they did not advance any further as they
       could not be trusted.
Just something for you guys to think about.

Thanks, I didn't know that. I did ask but know one said
anything. Now I understand what Daring was trying to tell me. by
changing from Daring to CGI-Daring. Sorry, being older I am a
bit slow sometimes. All Good. ;D

Writing is easy, typing one's thoughts out on the other hand is
bloody hard. I am from that in-between era where computers
didn't really come out until I was about 16, and the home pc
really took off in Australia when I was in my mid twenties.. So
typing isn't something that I grew up with. .
