       MoTeC Support

Found out this game supports MoTeC aquisition/analysis. Pretty
       cool stuff.
This software monitors and logs data like....
       Brake & Throttle position & G forces...

I don't understand some of it yet but there's some tutorials out
there on how to interpret this stuff. Some of it is self
       explanetory though.
I don't know how much I'll really use it and I doubt it'll make
me any faster but as a nerd I think this is pretty cool anyway.
If you want to play around with this, you need to do the
       following...
       1. Download
  HTML http://www.nogripracing.com/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=12459&d=1221740549<br
/>and extract it to My Documents\MoTeC Projects You'll need to
create this folder... right click anywhere inside your My
Documents folder and click "Create" then "New Folder (make sure
it is exact, watch the capital letters in MoTeC). So when you
open this folder after you extract this into it, you should see
       a folder called Spads GTR2.
       2. Download and install MoTeC here -
  HTML http://www.motec.com/filedownload.php/mi2_pro_1.20.0008.exe?docid=2409
       3. In your My Documents folder, go here - C:\Users\"Your
       Name"\Documents\SimBin\RACE 07\UserData\"Your Steam Name". In
there, there will be a .plr file that has your Steam name as the
title. Open this file in notepad and change it to look like
       this...

Once you're finished with the above, go and run some laps
somewhere. It will log data in any mode (practice, race, time
       attack, etc.)
Once you've finished your session, open the MoTeC software and
click to "Create New Project". Tip: You'll only need to create
one project. Each session DOES NOT need a new project to be
created. Therefore, I recommend to call your project something
       like "Race 07".
Once your project is open, click "File" up on the top menu and
choose "Open Log File". Then navigate to C:\MoTeC\Logged Data
       and open your session.
       That's it!
If you have any questions let me know.
*** Sorry for the big ass pics. I wanted them large to make
them easier for y'all to read.

I've made some tweaks to some of the graphs and such.
Main tweak being the map throttle/brake page.
       I've attached these tweaks below.
Simply extract this zip file into your My Documents/MoTeC
       Projects folder.
So far, I think the most interesting part of this is being able
to compare 2 laps with this track layout page.
Watch this video to see what I mean.
  HTML http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E1IuKFwXKUM
I highly recommend setting this video to full screen and also
set it to 720P to be able to fully see what's going on.
The green colors are throttle on, the red is braking and the
       yellow is coasting.
Another thing I think is cool is this page...

With this page you can see sector times from multiple sessions.
The sector times in blue are your fastest and it'll add those up
to give you your theoretical fastest time, which I've circled in
       red.

I have a write up somewhere on STGT about how to use this data
to improve lap times. PC sims do this soooooooo much better
than GT5. You can do proper traction circles with it and you
can use the suspension data to tune your cars. The
possibilities are almost endless. I've been meaning to get this
going on iracing but haven't had the time. It really appeals to
       my nerdy scientist side.

I am very interested in this. I will attempt to do the install
this evening. I would like to be able to get copies of your guys
laps as well. Being the slowest guy on either forum I would love
to compair my lap statistics to you fast fuck. That reminds me.
I need to get a 20" or so monitor and add that to my PC. My TV
is shit trying to view screen shots like this.
