Skins

Now that we're getting close to completing the car list/track
list, I figured I'd start a thread for skins. To my knowledge,
skins will not cause conflicts so just download whatever looks
good to you.
I'll start by saying that I'll give $8.33 to anyone who can find
the following for the BMW Z4...

I've been looking for it for the last hour and can't seem to
find it anywhere.
The name of the team that uses this livery is Marc VDS

I'm guessing that's for a BMW Z4 GT race car of some class or
other, what Race 07 pack does that car come with / require if
custom?
Also if I can find enough decent pictures on the interweb and
locate the skin templates for the Race 07 car I might be able to
recreate a reasonable facsimile if that would please you? :)

.. yes it's a link for a bunch of rFactor skins, BUT, I
downloaded it anyway and did some poking around. It looks like
there's a #40 skin like in your picture which may fit almost
perfectly onto the BMW Z4 GT300 car you downloaded (that I
snagged from TS) with probably just some resaving in the correct
.DDS format and a little bit of tinkering to make up the files
for the windows which I can do, though I assume that car
requires the GTR Evo pack?

Feldynn,
I also found that same pack from that very same website. I
downloaded it too but that's as far as I got with it. It is the
car from the FIA GT3 pack that you downloaded from TS, which I
have the template for. The problem I ran in to was the rfactor
template was quite different than the Race 07 template I have,
at least to me. With your skinning knowledge it may make a
little more sense to you. I've uploaded the Race 07 templates
here -

They're not the regular wireframe type templates I'm used to so
I wasn't sure where to begin.
As for needing the GTR Evo pack, I'm not sure to be honest.
That said, I'll gift you the pack if that's what it takes to get
this skin working. Seriously. In fact, even if it doesn't
require GTR Evo, I'll gift you the pack anyway as a thank you.

Interesting, if the car is a GTR Evo car I still managed to load
the game with it though it put it into a blank / no name class
button. Haven't loaded into the game beyond the point of the
car select screen so I don't know if the windows are correct or
not, but..
