Coruscant
Government Form: Universal Suffrage Republic, Democracy
The government consists of a congress, made of two houses, and a
presidential office.
Ideology
At the moment, Coruscant's government is led by militaristic and
slightly imperialistic men. They are always ready for war and
don't care if they start one, but they always try to settle
conflicts with peace first. Aside from that, the people of
Coruscant are liberalist, in believing in equal rights and free
speech for everyone.
History
Thousands of years ago, the planet of Coruscant was ruled by a
single, powerful government. In this time of golden age, the
planet sent numerous colony ships out into the void of the
galaxy, with one going to Alderaan and Balmorra, along with many
others. Soon after, a major dispute started within the
government. It collapsed, and in its remains were thirty smaller
nations ruling sections of Coruscant. It wasn't long until war
broke out. Billions died in the mass nuclear exchange that
happened in the Great War, and billions more died in the
following nuclear winter. Civilization collapsed and contact was
lost with the colony ships.
After three thousand years, new governments started to reform.
Many new nations claimed the corners of Coruscant. These nations
were more friendly and allied with other for a long time,
however, everything changed when the rouge nation of Yipani
waged war with the world. Alliances formed and fought to the end
to deal with the threat, and it was soon vanquished. On the wake
of the war, there were two super alliances. These were the
Coalition, and the Eastern Alliance. Their ideologies differed
completely, and as disputes happened, global tension rose. For a
while, both alliances were on the brink of a world war. One day,
the Eastern Alliance snapped and started a full scale war. The
Coalition responded swiftly and fought the Eastern Alliance
completely off guard. After a few long years of fighting, the
Coalition gained the upper hand. Soon, they were victorious.
After five years of restoring peace and order to the world, and
creating a new works government, the modern Coruscant was
formed.

I think it cool!
Like how it references Alderaan and Balmorra, using colony
ships.

I like it. KSPRP crossovers for the win! But take out the
"nuclear war" thing. Strange as it is, not sure nukes ever
existed in Star Wars, so it's best to steer clear of them. Also,
why did you mess with the Yipani crisis?

Really? No nukes? I find that strange. Obviously giant death
lasers are better then nukes, but 3,000 years ago...
And I think it sounds cooler if Yipani is hell-bent on
destroying the world, don't you?

Well, I don't know. Like, for example, I don't think there's any
example of stuff like projectile weapons in Star Wars lore.
Better to just say the war did massive damage to the world and
leave it at that. And I guess you're right about Yipani--it does
sound cooler. :D

There are projectile weaponry, however they never went into
atomic based weapons. They went straight from bullets and that
sort to lasers.
Some examples of projectile weapons are: Flux cannons (These are
large cannons loaded on ships to be used on ships with shields
thus they are still in use), shotguns (which energy versions are
still in use), and missiles if you want to count those.

I went to the Star Wars wiki; turns out that nukes do exist, but
nobody uses them anymore because Giant Death Lasers are better.
The Mandalorians used them in their war against the Republic.
