Welcome to the Planet application page! Here you may claim the
world of your desire and begin your journey towards galactic
power!
Things to put in your application:
Government type and Leader/s: (How does it work and who's in
charge?)
Ideology: (How do they view others?)
History: (The previous events of your planet)
General Info: (Any other useful information?)
Try to make it as detailed as possible. The longer and more
informative it is, the more likely you'll be accepted.

Alright, I am applying for the planet Balmorra.
Government type and Leaders: The government has recently
finished going through a long period of civil unrest. The new
government set in place is controlled by a triumvirate, with
limited power (controlling armies, levying taxes, stating laws,
and small such). The main government is composed of a democratic
set up, everyone votes on decisions. In effect everyone is part
of government but the triumvirate are the accepted leaders and
most everyone follows their suggestions. The triumvirate is made
up of two leaders during the civil war, Laresh and Plun (both of
which are rather young, 32 and 27 respectively) , and the third
is a war hero who fought against the previous government,
General Helfors (at the age of 54).
Ideology: The people see each other as equals, with a few
exceptions. People who have broken the law are considered
inferior until they have made atonement for their crimes. The
people share what they have with each other, even the criminals.
Most are quite unnerved by displays of unusual power (Force), as
they have only recently learned of such phenomenons.
Unfortunately this has led to the triumvirate being forced to
send any Force sensitive to a small colony else where on the
planet.
History: The origins of this planets people was quite accidental
and unexplainable. What they know is that a ship full of
criminals from elsewhere in the galaxy never reached its
intended destination. Instead is crashed on Balmorra and the
people who had convicted the criminals never tried to clean up
after the crash, but left the convicts on the planet. At first
the people fought among themselves, killing each other on almost
a daily basis. This led to only a handful of people left before
someone decided to step up and take charge of the situation. The
records say Karleo wanted to unite the people to make a lasting
society as a statement to the people who had left them there, he
named the society the Vindictive (this, though not true, has
stayed the name ever since). However the true reason for doing
this was so that he could have power and take whatever he
wished. This led to him being killed and succeeded by a rival
who continued the destructive acts. It wasn't until ten
generations had passed (in this time many leaders had risen and
had been killed) before the first leader came to power to
actually try and stabilize the society. His name was Nelfa, he
led the people into a golden age where they were able to build
cities, begin a full agriculture community rounded out with a
strong fishing/hunting party, and set up a proper government.
For ten years Nelfa oversaw and worked among his people, leading
them on into a bright future. Sadly he died of a powerful virus
that, against his best attempts, spread quickly killing
hundreds. There was never a leader like him and they say there
will never be one again. After Nelfa's death a new leader
quickly took control, Knalcha was quick to gain power for he had
eliminated all who opposed him and lied to the people to gain
favor. He led the people into a truly dark age, which only
recently lifted, he decided to make the society more industrial.
He wanted revenge on the people who 'banished' them to this
planet. Under him, all people young or old were forced to work
in newly constructed plants, constructing pieces of a ship, one
which Knalcha planned to use to take over the galaxy. Near
completion of the ship many of the people rose up against him,
but the military which had also been pulled together by Knalcha
was more than capable of killing those who stood up. However
once Laresh and Plun took over the rebellion, the tide turned
and Knalcha was killed in his palace, surrounded by the people
he had once ruled. He was executed by his very brother who was a
well known war hero against him. For his part in the rebellion
the brother, Helfors, was given the position in the triumvirate.
The ship was taken apart and the pieces destroyed, however
Helfors had plans drawn up for smaller ships to help defend if
needed. Later some research was done and they found out that
Knalcha was a direct descendant of Karleo. This has led many to
believe that Helfors will likely follow in his ancestors
footsteps and try to take over. The military was disbanded and
replaced with a militia.
General Info: While it has recenly come through a hard trial,
the Vindictive is flourishing under new leadership. Though
somewhat advanced weapons wise, they have removed almost all
weaponry. Space travel wise they are very reluctant to travel
beyond the planets moons, which they are working on reaching
with a few planned starships. They are a peace loving society,
because of past horrors. Most wonder if there are any people
left elsewhere in the galaxy.
If needed I can add more information. But here is the
Vindictive.

Okay, so I looked up Alderaan, and since it's so full of
historyI thought it'd be cool to fill in the gaps. So, I'm
pretty much doing my take on Alderaan with the info already
provided in SWTOR.
Government Type: Elective Monarchy
Alderaan is ruled by the parliament, made up of the planet's
noble class. The parliament is divided into several major
houses; Alde, Organa, Ulgo and Panteer are the largest. A
monarch is chosen from within the Parliament to act as the
supreme Head of State, and that monarch will then hold their
office for life. Though the position is not hereditary, it is
not unusual for it to remain with the same direct line for
several generations. Currently, the planet is under the rule of
King Aletris Organa.
Ideology
The people of Alderaan are peaceful and prefer to live in
harmony with their world, and they consider all life to be
precious. However, the government is not without its share of
corruption, and some of the ruling class see themselves to be
quite above those who they "serve" as members of the Parliament.
Despite their utopian ideals, blood does count for a fair bit on
Alderaan, and for the ordinary citizens it is often a hard life
working the fields or working as servants. The second sentient
species on Alderaan--the semi-intelligent, insectoid
Killiks--are somewhat of an exception to the "all life is
precious" rule. Though somewhat advanced, they are often in
conflict with the human inhabitants of the world and are
somewhat villainized for it.
History
The first humans on Alderaan migrated from Coruscant several
thousand years ago, seeking a better life. Upon arrival, they
came into contact with the native Killiks, who, as might be
expected, did not take kindly to the settlement. After a long
period of bloody wars, the humans managed to spread across the
planet, driving the insects back until the fighting began to die
down, with the two races tending to keep their difference from
each other. Though the conflict by no means ended, the horrific
losses on both sides meant that the all-out war continue.
Over several hundred years, the Alderaanian society became one
which lived in relative harmony with its surroundings. The
initial group of settlers had become a spread out connection of
loosely tied communities, and over time, the old unity of the
original settlers was forgotten.
However, eventually infighting began. The small communities
began to band together, forming nation-states, and then again to
become empires. The first modern cities came into being around
this time. Powerful warlords arose, vying for greater power.
Eventually, one warlord, Alaton Rontar, gained dominance over
the entire planet.
The Rontar line ruled for over 300 years, each son just as
tyrannical as the last. The population was forced to labour,
building great palaces for the Royal family monuments to their
strength. Eventually, the people could take no more and rose up
in rebellion. There was a great and terrible civil war between
the Imperial Guard of King Rontar XIII and the rebel forces,
lead by the commanders Ulgo, Organa, Alde and Panteer.
Eventually, the king was overthrown, and the question of how
best to now govern the planet arose. After long debate, it was
decided that a Parliament would be formed, which would elect the
king from within its own ranks. The houses, founded by those
original rebel commanders, still exist today.
The planet progressed relatively well under this new
government—though the old ways of scattered communities are
gone, the people have somewhat returned to that lifestyle and
made a hybrid of the old and new. There have been no wars—save
for the occasional skirmishes with the Killiks—and now, with the
advent of Hyperdrive, the people are full of hope for the
future.
It's got nothing on yours, MD, but what do you think?

I like it!
Didn't think to use Balmorra's actual history, silly me. But I
think yours is really good.

*shrug* I just thought Alderaan was interesting. Besides,
Alderaan's history is well documented; Balmorra not so much. I
think yours works great anyway.

Can't get through to him right now...I think we can start; we
don't have to come in at the same time. I've made a "spending"
board, so all the spending stuff doesn't have to go on the
planet pages. I think what we should do first is set up our
pages and then do the first taxes.
