says to Let all who oppose my Ho: It must have been divine
intervention that she found herself here in Port Phenix. While
she didn't know much about the place itself--this is where she
was. The inevitable confrontation with Uncle happened the moment
that she expressed him signing the petition for her to become a
full fledged slaver for his House. He called her ungrateful, too
young, insolent -- and those were some of the nicer names. And
Hero could have been intimidated by him--god, she felt it coming
when he stood in her face. He nearly reduced her to the scared
little girl she was when she came to live with him all those
years ago after her parents' deaths. But things were different
now. She was a grown woman and she knew her worth. Not only
that, but she had prepared herself for this. Kept detailed
documents of all the work she had done over the last several
years. The paperwork had been taken to the Council of Slavers in
Venna and she was immediately approved with everything signed
off by them and the magistrate. Of course, she was no longer
welcome in her Uncle's home. There was a strange sort of relief
in that and while she would miss Venna...there was something to
be said about this new adventure.
The young woman entered the cafe alone. She was fearless that
way--perpetually unafriad of everything. But after having lived
the life she did, it was hard to find a place for fear to dwell
in her heart. Not when she knew what monsters really looked
like. Still, she was anxious. Things usually weren't done on
impulse for her, but when she saw the advertisement that this
place was looking for a slaver, she made the proper inquiries,
packed her belongings and left Venna immediately. She stood in
the open doorway of the cafe wearing a long, dark blue,
floor-length skirt with a pale yellow blouse tucked in at the
waist. Under her right arm she carried a leatherbound folder
with her paper work and other credentials inside. She was
looking for the man in charge, since she was scheduled to meet
with him. She wasn't...overly nervous about meeting him. If she
could deal with a monster such as her Uncle, most men were much
palatable by comparison.

says to H E R O. || A S A' I D|D: I sat at the table gazing out
at the Blue Thassa enjoying the tranquility of the moment. The
view was spectacular overlooking the port and the bay. I reached
out to take the black wine from before me to sip my attention
drawn to 3 small boys playing in the street near a vendor
selling fruit. I knew that these street urchins would test him
and steal some fruit, I had no doubt that he was aware of it
too. I watched a smile teasing my lips as I watched him take a
kurt out from under the table and advance on the boys driving
them away.
the boys split up taking his attention away from his table while
two boys kept his attention on them the other slipped in behind
him grabbing fruit off the table and dashing off down an alley
while the two boys that had kept the vendors attention run off
laughing and jeering while he waved a fist after them while
their little legs drove them off down the street and off into an
adjacent alley

"Tal Hero, please take a seat join me at the table, we have much
to discuss?"
my gaze found the girl and nodded she would bring another black

Lady...besides it was a gamble but on the other hand who did not
like black wine

says to Let all who oppose my Ho: She had never set eyes on you
before, at least not knowingly. So she would not have known who
you were had you not called out to her. You, on the otherhand,
probably knew most people that lived in your Port, so she would
have stuck out like a sore thumb. Hero was tall...very tall,
actually which was almost always a dead give away. All that
aside, though, she was relieved when you called her over.
Somehow, she managed to muster up a smile that at least felt
genuine--she wasn't the smiling sort. But it was important that
she make the best impression. She no longer had her Uncle's name
as a buffer between her and the rest of the world. If you still
allowed her the position, it would be on her own merit. Hero
crossed the short distance between you and the door and took a
seat at the table. "Dhal al Ghur, yes? I'm glad you could meet
with me on such short notice."

says to H E R O. || A S A' I D|D: "Indeed I'm Dhal Captain of
the Sea Kur and Captain of the council of the Port. Well met
Hero" I did not mention that there was no council in place but I
would listen to those of the home before making a more informed
decision rather than operating in an autocratic way "I hope you
dont mind I have taken the liberty of ordering you a black wine,
and ........"my hand gesturing to a plate of sweet pastries on
the table "there is a selection of honey drizzled sweet pastries
you can try"
I waited for you to sit before sitting as well to your left, a
smile ghosting my lips as I thought of my approach, "I offer you
the Port Slavers position but you will need to stock the kennels
with slaves for the block or for use in the home. The walled
slavers compound comes with a small private villa a private
garden and all the kennels that you will need. I do not get
involved in the running of the Collar and Chain Slavers house
that will be up to you. But when I need girls I expect to be
able to call on you to stock the open positions that exist."
sipping at the black wine before taking a small piece of pastry
and eating "you will obviously have to abide by the rules of the
Port. It is under Merchant law and all slaves sold have to be
branded as is law." nods "(you will need to be under probation
until you have completed two tasks for the home..(both rp)
before you get full tags. and you will have to register to the
boards. I need people in the home so if you recruit I would be
grateful)....chewing on the pastry before washing it down with

says to Let all who oppose my Ho: "Blackwine is fine, thank
you..." She wasn't truly a fan of blackwine, but there were
moments like this when she was grateful for the distraction of
it. When the slave that you sent for it returned with her drink,
Hero added a small bit of sugar though she did forgo the cream.
Stirring the sugar in the medium sized clay cup gave her
something to do other than clench her hands together in her lap.
The young woman listened to your words carefully, nodding every
so often to let you know that she was listening even if she
wasn't looking at you directly. The things you asked of her were
not impossible, of course. Not even difficult. Truth was, she
loved it. The hunt. It was something in which she found
strangely satisfying. One more woman caught meant the less
chance that she would be. Supply a man with as much beautiful
flesh as he could handle and keep the radar from herself. Better
them than me, was her life's motto.
"It would be my pleasure. There are not many things in this
world I would consider myself good at--however, being a slaver
is all I really know. I was trained by my Uncle from the age of
12. I think I enjoy the hunt as much as any man, but obviously,
for different reasons. But we all have our motivations and I'm
certainly no different. I can get whatever woman you wish--down
to specifics. Uncle had an eye for certain sorts of women and
these women...they weren't always slaves when I met them. He
found it was profitable for me to manipulate them into a false
sense of security and well...I'm sure you can imagine the rest.
And I have already taken the liberty of registering to your
boards--and I, of course, fully accept your terms."

says to H E R O. || A S A' I D|D: replacing the cup to the table
I turned to you my dark gaze finding yours enjoying you, indeed
you were a tall woman but you were beautiful too, no doubt that
probably helped in capturing the little sluts for your collar.
"The Collar and Chain Slavers House belongs to the port so all
girls that are in its collar do belong to the Port first. You
will get a percentage of the sale when sold outside of the home.
You will of course get compensation for training girls in the
home for the home. I do not enjoy thralls but will not stop you
stocking them providing you have a purpose for them eg. they
become fighting slaves or specific tasks in the home." taking
another pastry taking a bite chewing enjoying the sweetness then
washing it down with a small sip of black wine to kill the
sweetness replacing it with the delicious bitter taste of the
black wine
"is there anything that you would want to know about the port or
that you request for the Slavers House?" I paused before
continuing "We are currently sending out caravans to Corcyrus
with armed escorts because there are raiders that reek havoc on
our supply train." so you may find things will get busy around
here with troops, slaves and people from Corcyrus calling as we
try to track down the raiders"
"The Port. What can I tell you about the Port? The weather is
likened to the weather in country on URTH called Brazil. We do
not wear veils here and the clothing is more fitting to the
climate. However I do not advise wearing the same attire when
going to the market because it could get you caged. I like
discipline and to be informed at all times. My Companion Nyah is
a well known merchant that I trust with setting up of trade
agreements. Alliances are something that I deal with. There is a
first girl soraya that is veru knowledgeable with dealing with
slaves, she will assist you should you need it. If you need
anyone to assist in the slavers house I have to bring to your
attention that I have to approve first and they will have to go
through the probation criteria to qualify...which is not
terribly rigorous" Sipping at the black wine again

says to Let all who oppose my Ho: Just as you looked at her, she
studied you as well, taking in your appearance, your mannerisms.
You were one she would need to be mindful of. Though you seemed
very professional and knowledgeable--and she could see that you
indeed were, you were not one to be crossed. There were things
that she could see about people--things that she understood
simply by being in their presence. And Hero, for all her
lady-like tendancies, was no saint. Far from it. But she knew
how to behave in the public eye. However, with her being a woman
slaver, there were things...even a bit of treachery she would
always have to have a hand in, in order to be successful. Her
Uncle taught her that. However, she was always loyal to those
that looked out for her and it would be no different while she
was here. There were aspects of her, however, that she would
need to keep secret. The world could not and would not know
everything.
She took in your words as you spoke and it wasn't until she saw
you eating that she realized that she had not eaten anything yet
and joined you in enjoying the pastries that had been brought to
the table for us. It definitely took away the bitter bite of the
blackine. You could see that she visibly relaxed now that she
had been around you for a little while. "It is warm here.
Pleasantly so, actually. Beautiful really. I couldn't imagine
finding a place as asthetically pleasing to the eye like Venna.
But that sort of beauty is cultivated isn't it? Calculated. This
place is...natural. There are still some wild parts to it, I
imagine." She glanced around inside of cafe for a few moments,
undoing the clasps at the base of her sleeves and rolling it up
around near her elbow, or just beneath. The cafe was warm and
sunlight filtered in through the doorway. And she loved the way
this place smelled. Yes, she was most assuredly going to like it
here. "You spoke of raiders? Have any of them made their way
into Phenix...or Corcyrus for that matter or are they staying to
the roads for now? And if they are having an easy time of
it...knowing when and what to pick off, there may be a chance
that someone on the inside of this place or the other city may
be supplying information. It's certainly not unheard of." She
took a bite of the pasties before wiping he fingers on a napkin.
"And as for everything else you've said--so far, it is just me.
I've worked under my Uncle for my entire career. I prefer
working alone unless I could find someone to assist me that I
trust implicitly. So for the time being--the slave you
mentioned, Soraya...I should love to meet her and perhaps
consult with her on a few things at least until I find a free
trustworthy enough to bring onboard."
