and clear and cold as it always was in this part of the world.
There was no snow but the ground was covered in frost that
crunched under foot as we walked. We had risen early as was my
habit made love and slipped out to do our chores as a formality.
It was good to be with my woman once more yet strange because I
could not do as I pleased with her beyond the boundaries of our
own private space. We had found our way into the Great hall that
was the gathering place in all northern homes.

wood from the stack that was laid nearby and using the smaller
cuts pilled them upon the coals left from the previous evening
then blowing upon them getting them to glow and then ignite the
smaller kindling. It was not long when flames began to leap and
dance as I fed more wood onto the growing flames. The fire was
now well established, the flue to the vent open with smoke drawn
up and out through the roof and the warmth spreading throughout
the hall it began to get real comfy and pretty soon we could
take our coats off. I was a Torvie yet had travelled far and
wide so I was not used to the northern cold any more. I turned
from the fire and joined you at the table "My Love have you
found the opportunity to stroll down to the beach and wander
along the shoreline?" I had seen it when the Sea Kur had entered
the harbour and it looked wonderful, as a seafarer I always
related and enjoyed being close to the water

being on the council is concerned I have no idea but I don't see
why not. especially a well established and reputable merchant
