Our Second Esperanto Lesson (Cont.)

I've decided just to pick up where we left off on the other
website. You were able to post Drill 1 and Exercise #4 before
things went down the tubes and I'm ready to post my work on them
now, so let's start there:

Lesson 7, Drill #1
Tiu knabino venis de Parizo.
(That girl went to Paris.)
Tiu robo estas tre interesa.
(That dress is very interesting.)
Tio ĉi junulo ne estis amuza.
(This youth was not amusing.)
Tio ĉi libro estas pli granda.
(This book is very large.)

Lesson 7, Exercise 4
1.) Li diris, kial tio estas granda problemo por li.
(He said why that is a big problem for [him].)
2.) Ŝi demandis, ĉu mi volas televidi la matĉon
kun ŝi aŭ ne.
(She asked whether I want to watch the match on television with
her or not.)
3.) Ili trovis la monon en la loko, kie la junulo kaŝis
ĝin.
(They found the money in the place where the youth hid it.)
4.) Oni ridetis, kiam mi legis ŝian raporton.
(They smiled when I read her report.)
5.) La knabino, kiu mi amas, estas lia fratino.
(The girl, who I love, is his sister.)
6.) La homoj kiu venas de Eŭropa, parlas multajn lingvojn.
(The men who go to Europe speak many languages.)
7.) Ŝi diris, ke la prezoj daŭre plialtiĝas.
(She said that the prices continually rise.)
8.) La raporto tio vi legis, ne estis mia.
(The report that you read was not mine.)
9.) La poŝto tio mi ricevis hieraŭ, estis tre
interesa.
(The mail that I received yesterday was very interesting.)
10.) La leteroj, kiu venis, memorigis min pri Parizo.
(The letters that came reminded me about Paris.)

Number 4 was a hard one. We both got number 2, but not so well
on the rest. Here are the answers from the key in the back of
the book:
1.) Li diris, ke tio estas...
2.) Ŝi demandis, ĉu mi volas...
3.) Ili trovis la monon en la loko, kie la junulo...
4.) Oni ridetis, kiam mi legis...
5.) La knabino, kiun mi amas, estas...
6.) La homoj kiuj venas de Eŭropa, parlas...
7.) Ŝi diris, ke la prezoj...
8.) La raporto kiun vi legis...
9.) La poŝto kiun mi ricevis hieraŭ...

I just went over my lesson #4 correcting it. Looks like my
biggest problem was the kiu words.
I really did bad on this one.

LESSON SEVEN
Drill #2
Mia patro flugus al Nov-Jorko se li povus vendi la domon.
(neither likely)
My father would fly to New York is he could sell the house.
La doktoro estus tre feliĉa se tiu problemo nur forirus.
(not likely)
The doctor would be very happy if that person's problem now
would go away.
Li havus pli da tempo se lia edzino permesus tion. (not likely)
He would have more of time if his wife would allow that.
Ŝia frato aĉetus novan aŭton se li nur havus
sufiĉe da mono. (not likely)
Her brother would buy a new car if he now would have enough
money.
* There is no "os" word to chose in this drill.
