A Civil Defence officer has been arrested over allegations of
involvement in vehicle snatching activities in the Orozo area of
       the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
Security sources confirmed that the suspect was apprehended
following coordinated efforts by law enforcement agencies after
a spike in reported car thefts within the community. Residents
of Orozo had recently expressed concern over increasing
incidents of vehicles being forcefully taken, prompting
       intensified surveillance and intelligence gathering.
According to preliminary findings, the officer was allegedly
linked to multiple cases of vehicle snatching in the area.
Authorities say the arrest was made after credible intelligence
and tracking operations led investigators to the suspect.
The individual is currently in custody while further
investigations are underway. Officials have stated that a
thorough probe will be conducted and assured the public that
anyone found culpable, regardless of position, will face
prosecution in accordance with the law.
Community leaders in Orozo have welcomed the development,
describing it as a step toward restoring confidence and safety
in the area. They also called for continued collaboration
between residents and security agencies to combat crime.
Authorities are expected to release additional details as the
       investigation progresses.
