Too quiet

Snowfall sits at the late night cafe, unfazed by the cool breeze
through the night air, as she reads the local news. A couple of
drunk stallions walk past, seemingly coming from the pub up the
road. A few whistles and calls, and they disappear, continuing
on their way as Snow ignores them.
"Damn it, when's he getting here." Snow says aloud in
frustration.

"When's who getting here?" Storm says as he approaches her from
behind, chuckling. "Waiting for you boyfriend?" He adds in a
teasing manner.

Snow jumps a little with surprise, then turns to face her
brother.
"You, you dolt. What took you so long? I've had drunkards
whistling at me for the past half an hour. It's no wonder you've
never had a steady relationship."

"Ouch, too far Snow." Storm says jokingly, a grin still on his
face. "Come on, let's go inside, it's chilly out here."

showing no hint of banter.

"Given that you're not even breathing steam despite the low
temperatures, I'd say it was a fairly accurate remark" Snow says
nonchalantly as she enters the Cafe.

Hurricane pauses for a moment outside, inhaling, then letting
out a deep breath, to observe for himself. Nothing. Before he
can think on it further, the door clicks shut and snaps his mind
out of it, and he opens the door back up and hurries inside.

As Storm enters the store, Snow orders 2 lattes before finding a
place to sit.
"So, what'd you call me out here for anyway?"
