A Beautiful Day For A Heist

The sun shone brightly one late afternoon in Canterlot. The
castle was rather busy, with ponies of all royal statures and
guards running all over the place. Princess Celestia sat on her
throne, rather stressed as she rapidly scribbled on dozens of
scrolls with hopes of solving the current political drama
presented before her.

Outside the palace a Unicorn trotted towards the front gate,
when stopped by the guards there he flashed a pass and they let
him through, once he entered the palace he made an immediate
left and headed up the stairs to a small laboratory, taking a
vial of vibrant orange liquid from his pack he laid it on the
floor of the lab, setting up a weight and pulley system above
it, he put a candle below the rope so that in a few minutes the
rope would snap, causing the weight to crush the orange vial.
His work done he left the room, weaving the light around him to
cause him to camouflage into his surroundings as he walked, he
found a side corridor and stood inside of it, waiting for the
bang

One of the ponies running around with a scroll hovering in front
of her rushed past Silver Fox, just barely grazing his hide as
she went, but seemed too stressed to notice. Before long the
candle burnt through the rope and an echoing bang boomed from
the room. The guards within the immediate vicinity leapt into
action as they stampeded towards the source of the noise.
Princess Celestia looked up, almost startled to have heard the
unexpected noise before returning her attention to the scrolls.
A secretary and a handful of guards still surrounded her.

Outside of the princess's chamber Fox ran up to one of the
guards on duty, he looked for all the world like a young
scientist mare "Please sir, you've got to help me, I was running
some tests and now my professor won't get up" she says to one of
the guards, tears in her eyes

The guard eyed 'her' with an almost expressionless face before
nodding once, "Lead the way." he said.

Fox lead the guard into the laboratory and showed him the fake
doctor she has created, as he leant over the body Fox dropped
his disguise and knocked him out with a blow to the base of the
skull. He dragged the guard into the corner and covered him in
the same light bending spell he had used earlier. He took the
guard armour and changed his own appearance to that of the
unconscious guard, donning the armour he trotted out the the
other guard and called out for him to join him, stating that his
help was needed

"Shield-Forth," the guard addressed Silver Fox as he lead him
inside the throne room where Celestia was, "You are to switch
positions with Wind-Racer, Princess Celestia has requested him
to deliver an urgent message on her behalf to a small village of
earth ponies who are afraid of magic." He then pointed to the
pegasus guard whom was about to leave the Princess' side with
the message.

"It shall be done" he said in the deep voice of the guard pony
he had stolen the form of, he looked at the other pony, his eyes
flashing as he imprinted a set of instructions onto his mind
before going and standing next to the princess. The other pony
walked outside and stood at his post for a few minutes before
the instructions he was given kicked in, he went into a room and
wrote a letter containing exact instructions, he went outside
and passed the letter on to a courier pony and gave him a
recipient before returning to his position. Approximately 20
minutes later a ragged pegasus burst through the doors into the
princesses chamber, escorted by two guards the princess looked
up, surprised. "Princess, you must come quickly, there has been
trouble in Ponyville, Twilight Sparkle and her friends have
become mysteriously ill and the young dragon has been taken
somewhere"

The Princess eyed 'Shield-Forth' rather suspiciously when he
stood next to her, but said nothing and continued to frantically
write on her scrolls.
Celestia looked up at the dramatic entrance of the pegasus,
staying calm as the message was delivered, "Spike has been taken
else-where you say?" she said, "Well that shouldn't be hard to
find out where he is." The alicorn levitated an empty scroll -
addressing Spike - inquiring about the news which had been so
suddenly delivered. When she finished writing, her horn flashed
suddenly before the scroll disappeared. She simply waited for
the dragon's reply.

Inaudibly Fox sighed "I f'ucking hate dragon magic" he muttered
before using his magic to crush a vial in his bag, hidden
invisibly on his back, the clear liquid inside the vial
vaporized instantly and suffused the room in an undetectable
barrier, blocking all in-coming magic, he then continued to
stand there as the princess waited for a reply
