Nova smiled nervously as she looked around her, checking to see
if there were any prying eyes of other ponies or dragons. She
then said in a hushed tone, "I need to ask you about something,
you could say it is... classified. So I can't exactly ask you
here right out in the open."

Fox laughed at her nervousness, it was obvious that she had
never done something like this before "Nova, we're in a deserted
street, of anyone comes past we'll look like two friends talking
and we can stop if anyone gets close. It's not a spy film, stop
looking so shifty. What do you need?"

Nova snorted in amusement, trying to hide her embarrassment,
"Alright then. I hope you still like making deals, right?" she
asked before holding up the piece of paper she had been carrying
in front of him, "The question is, how much?"
On the paper it detailed an illustration of a black book with
silver, metal corners and a vague description of its content and
magical properties. As well as it's current location within the
Restricted Dungeon within the Star Swirl the Bearded Wing.
(I'll leave it up to you for whether Fox will or will not
recognize this book to be affiliated with heavy dark magic.)

"Well you see, Bolt and I had another... 'mishap' and I know
he's just waiting for me to apologize to him because he knows I
need him to help control the amount of Dragon Magic I get from
him to enhance my capabilities of speaking in Dragon Tongue; and
other bonuses that string from it as well. I don't exactly want
to give him the satisfaction of, as he puts it, 'being right' in
his opinion. I found this book in my literature collection and I
think I have found a way around it. I'd go after it myself, but
we both know how much of a klutz I am. Besides, there aren't
many ponies who I can trust with this sort of thing, as you know
a lot of ponies who are 'hired' tend to either tip the client
off or come back for more than what was agreed on."

Nova chuckled with amusement, "Oh come now Fox, where is your
sense of adventure? Besides it's just one little book, from the
rumors I have heard this would be a walk in the park for you.
You broke into the Canterlot dungeons undetected when you, me
and Wisp went to come after Bolt, remember? So why would this be
any different? Just name your price."

"It's not about difficulty, I'm trying to turn my life around,
no more thieving or stuff like that" he turned around and
started to walk away, he got 3 steps before stopping, he hanged
his head and sighed before turning around, he snatched the
picture from her hoof "How much are you offering" he said
resignedly

Nova smiled, "Tell you what, consider this as your last heist.
Finish off with a bang, you know? After this, no more thieving."
The pegasus thought for a moment, placing a thoughtful hoof to
her chin as she pondered.
"Well to be quite honest, I don't know what would be worth your
while. I'm assuming that you would charge based on difficulty or
how much time is involved? Maybe I can tell you what I know
about what's involved and then you can tell me what seems fair.
I know that there is supposedly only one way in through the
restricted section, and that's through a trap door, underneath
Celestia's throne itself. Trick is though, the spells and hexes
involved with the security are so heavy that it is only possible
to access it by certain hours of the day - only. Those hours of
the day just happen to be when Celestia is on duty while she's
sitting on her throne. You also cannot teleport while in the
dungeon, as it sets off the security systems."
"...Oh and one more thing, and it is the most important
information of all. Don't read the book, trust me. The book has
an extremely bad influence on unicorns for some reason, which is
why Star Swirl himself never finished writing it before he died.
I've heard that it can drain all the unicorn's magic for a
number of days before he or she can recover. Obviously I'm not a
unicorn, so it shouldn't affect me that much."
