At Rosa's Shop - Storm Day One

As the storm hits the town, the ponies seeking refuge at Rosa's
shop were fairly comfortable thanks to Fox's soundproof shield.
As the cold crept in, Nova's feathers fluffed up more than usual
and she coiled into a ball while asleep. This however, caused
her to roll off her post and landed with a fairly loud thud.
For obvious reasons, the pegasus woke with a start on the lounge
room floor,"Ooooouch." she groaned as she got back onto her
hooves.
She shuddered upon realizing the cold, using her wings to cover
as much of her as possible for warmth.

Rosa stumbles downstairs, shivering from the cold. She half
mumbles "Hey" as she walks past Nova, grabbing several crystals
out of the storage locker. Placing them over the cracks in the
door and window, she then pours some magical energy into them,
causing them to rapidly expand and fill the gaps, leaving only
small open cracks at the top of the door and window for fresh
air. Satisfied, she grabs a few more crystals and carries them
back upstairs, mumbling "G'night" to Nova as she once more
passes her. She repeats the window filling process upstairs,
then hops back into bed.

"Thanks. See ya." Nova replied as the unicorn quickly
disappeared from view.

Fox awoke upstairs, he trotted down, passing Rosa and saying
good morning as she went, to find Nova huddled in the cold "You
know, I can help with that"

Nova smirked, "I'm sure you could. Though Rosa just blocked out
most of the cold with her crystal magic."

Bolt yawns waking up as the sun peaks through the clouds.He
stretches out his back and smiles having spent last night
sleeping on top of the magical field. He opens his swings
reflecting the sunlight onto his scales. "Good morning sun."

Watching the sun vanish behind the clouds he snaps his fingers
in disappointment. Bolt decided to go check in on their other
friends but not before checking on Nova. He focuses trying to
spark a mental connection the barrier having no effect there
emotions would determine the connection.

Nova shook her head as Bolt tried to make contact, "What do you
want? As I recall you want me to leave you alone, remember." she
replied shortly, the connection between the two was fuzzy.

"There's a new sense of warmth that I have noticed ever since
our minds have connected. Unless that disappears I'm okay." The
pegasus stated simply, still feeling the need to give the dragon
the cold shoulder.
