Return of the Fox

A green light started to grow in a certain restaurant in town,
it started as a small dot but rapidly grew bigger, not stopping
until it encompassed the an area roughly the size of a pony.
Then the light started to swirl, it danced and flowed, shining
complex patterns on the walls all around. All of a sudden it
stopped, the light died away in an instant, and for a moment all
was still, the silence seemed odd, out of place and unnatural,
it dragged on for a second, and then another, and then the world
exploded. A huge light blared out from the spot, bathing the
town in a soft green glow, with the light came sound a
magnificent noise, the sound of a tear in the tapestry of the
world. All at once the light and sound stopped, and once again
all was still, standing, alone inside the restaurant was a pony
who's eyes shone with an inner confidence and who's face was
split into a sly smile. Stepping out the door of the restaurant
the pony took a deep breath and spoke "It's good to be home"

Ruffur noticed the green glow from far, far away. Confused, he
flew in to town to check it out, just to find Fox at the source.
He smiled faintly and landed down near him. When he spoke his
voice seemed almost mechanical.
"Fox? I haven't seen you for a while."

extravagant entrance and just dropped by to check it out."

"I'm sure it wasn't."
He pauses for a moment
"I wonder how my brother fares. I haven't been... myself...
since my voice faded."

"Oh, just a little death. To be fair, the deceased overreacted,
and so did I. Had a slight anger problem, and a slight falling
out."
He looks around
"Speaking of which, where is the little pr'ick? Surely he'd be
attracted by glowing lights or something."
