After creating a near perfect replica, Rose slides the newly
forged blue gem towards Aqua.
"Try it out for me would you?"

Aqua channeled some of his magic through the gem, it glowed
briefly before returning to normal "It seems pretty good,
although if you can do anything about the retention it would be
good, my magic seeps out of it faster than normal"

"Fairly normal, I'd need to calibrate it to your magical flow
for it to be perfect. Naturally, I calibrated it to my own while
I was making it." She then pulls out a small device, almost like
an oversized microscope without a lense. Readjusting the metal
bindings, she hooks the blue gem into it.
"This should be helpful."

"Eh, what good am I if I don't experiment. I mean, I just got
you to test a potentially volatile mix by pouring power into it,
it's not fair of me to hand over all the risks to others."
Rose proceeds to inspect the Red crystal, and starts forming a
replica, the strain quite obvious this time. She places the half
formed crystal under the blue crystal lense, channelling her
magic through it. Slowly the shards weave into a red crystal,
the other colours slowly being overwritten. The instant it
finishes, a bright spark flashes from the blue crystal as it
cracks, and Rose is thrown against the wall.

Aqua picks up the red crystal and forces his magic into the
binding symbol "I'm sorry about that, but I did warn you, the
sentience inside this gem does not like ponies"

Ross picks herself up, and walks back over to her desk, looking
at the cracked blue gem, frowning.
"Guess that was too much for it, and I lack the ingredients to
forge another..."

Moxie silently creeps back into the store, taps Aqua and
whispers in his ear.
"W-When you're finished... I... I w-want to talk... At the
c-caravan..."
With that she exits again and makes her way to the caravan

As if suddenly remembering, Rose pulls what was left of Axis's
purple gem out of her bag, comparing it Aqua's.
"I thought you said you couldn't get these anywhere?"
