Morning Pony

Nova shifted around the sheets as the sun's rays greeted her
through a window. As she slowly raised consciousness, the first
thing she noticed was how her brain throbbed quite intensely.
She sat herself up, cradling her skull in her hooves as she
yawned, "Last night was a good one." she muttered with a small
smile. The moment she cracked her eyes open, she shut them again
instantly after feeling the stinging sensation pierce her eyes
from the intensity of the light. It took her quite a few minutes
to adjust and gradually realised that she was in a room she had
never seen before.
She rolled out of bed, eyes squinting, and walked out of the
room, "Hello? Anypony here?" she called, rubbing one of her eyes
with a hoof.

Rose shifts uncomfortably on the couch, accidentally rolling off
the side she falls onto the wooden floor, jolting awake.
"Huh, what am I... Oh, right.."

"Oh, it's you Rosaline." the pegasus sighed, relieved that she
wasn't in some creepy stallion's home, "I feel like somepony has
hit me with a sledge hammer." she added as she took a seat.
"I'm assuming that this is your home? What happened last night?
The last I remember was going through half way through my second
drink..."

"You tried to walk off somewhere, that friend of yours... Axis,
I think? Went with you since you could barely walk. Anyway next
we saw he was kissing you, though you didn't seem too into it,
so me, Sugar and that dragon intervened. You passed out not long
after, and since I don't know where you live I brought you back
to mine, since I was pretty much the only sober-ish pony there.

Nova's jaw dropped, "Axis what?" she uttered in disbelief, "Was
he sober at all?"
