Grand Unified Crystal Theory

This is all copy paste, have at it if you wanna dig into
details.
Grand Unified Crystal Theory (Part 1)
Okay I’ll be doing this in parts for easy digestion, I may
appear to leap to a few conclusions at first but quite few gaps
will be filled with later parts or conclusions from other parts.
Still anyway on to the first part;
Cadence has been recently revived from a voluntary stasis
similar to Luna’s on the moon
Now as many of you remember, Cadence cause a bit of a stir when
she was revealed to be an alicorn, after all we only had 2
before and their level of magic was of a godly level. Most of
the fanbase has now grown to like her and she’s generally
accepted in the fandom, however the question still remains where
she came from.
In her first episode, Twilight has flashbacks to when she was a
young filly, and the Cadence of that time is younger too.
Possibly of a teen or young adult. This can only mean that
Cadence would have to have been only about in her mid to late
20’s in the current time.
not counting crowd background characters, we do not have any
real candidates for Cadence’s parents and so far she has had
little links to anything other than the fact she is a princess
and has links to an empire lost for 1000 years.
Now we know Luna is still growing and that her smaller size is
due to her containment in the moon stopping her ageing.
So what if the same was done to Cadence? As the rightful heir to
the Crystal empire (it cannot be coincidence that her cutie mark
is the crystal heart) lost for centuries and is put into a deep
sleep/stasis until a time when the empire might return.
Sombras curse was a little vague on when it would fail, but I’m
sure there would be ways to make a guess and with Cadence woken
early to grow a little in order to take her throne back in the
right condition, wouldn’t that make sense?
Now also remember that Cadence is the Alicorn of love of an
empire tasked with spreading it, would it not make perfect sense
for the alicorn of love to spend time with children? Especially
one chosen by a trusted ally (Celestia) to be a student of the
magical arts? Children have often been seen as focal points for
love in many works of fiction so for Cadence this would be her
getting to know the source of her magic.
Meeting her future husband was a bonus.
((Okay we’ve linked Cadence to the crystal empire, now what?
Well we have 2 villains Cadence has faced, did history repeat
itself but in the correct way this time?))
Grand Unified Crystal Theory (Part 2)
Well now as part one said before Cadence could very well be from
the time before the crystal empire vanished. Possibly protected
by the Celestial sisters to keep an heir to the throne alive and
revive the empire at a later date.
Now this does leave a question still; Who are Cadence’s parents.
we can assume only Alicorns can birth other alicorns as
otherwise there would be more of them due to cross breeding.

Now we do have one other couple that includes an Alicorn? Well
how about a prince who lived long ago from a kingdom that fell?
Who brewed up a love poison to seduce her.
You see where I’m going with this.
What if this unicorn prince and alicorn princess had a child
while under their poison’s effects. And a daughter with love
based powers no less?
and their kingdom? well information could be mistranslated or
lost and they could have very well been rulers of the crystal
empire. And wouldn’t it make sense for the crystal empire, one
that operates on love to have had a prince able to develop a
love potion (albeit one that was actually a poison)
((But what became of the empire? We know it fell and had to
return, but how did this happen? And where did Sombra come
from?))
Grand Unified Crystal Theory (part 3)
((Apologies for my inactivity but derpibooru has introduced
faves and I’m catching up))
Anyway, Candence’s parents were an alicorn and a unicorn, stuck
in the grips of a love poison. We don’t know much about them but
we do know their kingdom fell.
Now this is where the “Chrysalis love poison” theory comes in;
The basic idea is that as an alicorn the princess’ body’s form
is subject to corruption by magical influences (similar to
Luna’s Nightmare moon form), and the love poison corrupted her
into a being dependant on love.
Hence the love poison theory has this poisoned alicorn becoming
Chrysalis and when combined with the G.U.C.T. we have the weird
situation;
Chrysalis is Cadences mother, driven mad after the loss of her
husband AND to have salt rubbed in her wounds, cadence is doing
the same thing that doomed Chrysalis.
Marrying a Unicorn.
Now you’re wondering something, “If Chrysalis is the queen of
the crystal empire, how did her empire fall? where did the other
changlings come from? and what happened to her husband?
Remember how the crystal empire had pegasus jousting? Even
without any crystal pegasi. Notice how every Changling has
wings?
That’s right! The Canglings are mutated Crystal pegusi!
But what of their king? With his queen doing crazy and mutating
his people, might he not loose his mind and seek a way to keep
his rule and expel his queen.
But how would you expel a changling? How about removing their
food?
Ladies and gentlemen! KING SOMBRA!
That’s right Sombra takes over and removes his wife from the
throne by covering his empire in hate and fear. Leaving his wife
and her new brood to search for centuries for more food.
Alrighty that was all a little crazy but hopefully the pieces
come together.
Next time, I attempt to srot this into an order of events for a
more easy to digest version.
((NOTE; This theory is a little crazy, but it’s mostly for fun,
you think it’s stupid? It very well might be, but if you enjoy
it spread it around I’d love to get some feedback from some
others about this.))
