Should teleportation be a buyable upgrade or just automatically
be unlocked when you make it past the boss guarding the next
island?

teleporting would be a good in app purchase I think, players
would see it and buy it cause it'd make things easier

Me too, I think Ill keep that as a purchase and running as a
native action in the game.

Sounds good. You can live without teleporting so it shouldn't
be a problem :)
