Quests

It would be cool to see like quests and small missions in the
game. Like when you start you are asked to gather fruit and food
and stuff. You get rewards and stuff like money and for bigger
quests you can get monsters.
I don't mean like serious RPG quests just stuff to do outside
the arena

another idea
when you first start your asked by the professor or whoever to
gather items for his research. and then once you do like 2-3
quests for him he gives you a monster then he gives you a
tutorial and then you get attacked by a bandit and you start
your first fight

Yea and some quest can be to capture some of the Poketmon to do
research on. To see how they live and their powers and weakness.

This could all be in the separate island from the arena as
mentioned in another post. I think these are great ideas to have
quests involved.

Quests seem like a pretty good idea if they are implemented
correctly. They shouldn't be anything too advanced, that way
you aren't to distracted from leveling your monsters.

Quests would be a good difference from pokemon, not just pure
running around and gathering crap and purely focused on battling
other trainers or gym leaders for money. Like some quests to
collect certain things feasibly available to give a players
monsters an extra boost to help in battle or some such the
ideas, possibilities and combinations are countless really.

That's a really good point. It can't be a COMPLETE pokemon
clone or it will end up like the clone of minecraft that got
deleted.

Yes I think Ill have quests. This game may turn out to be more
expensive than I thought :D

Im talking about the cost to make the app. Once it is done we
will decide the price for the app store but i think $2.99 or
$4.99 will probably be about right for it.
