Red awakes in his old house in Pallet town.
the only trainer still on vacation he comes down stairs and
turns on his TV
"Hello and welcome one and all to the first annual Unova
invitational! The greatest trainers from around the world and
newcomers alike are welcomed to join in this spectacular
tourney!" One of the announcers says
"That's right! For this next Year Unova will be turned Into a
grand festival! The rules are simple. Simply register at any of
our new Pokéstops and you're now entered into the tournament!
Catch the wild Pokémon, best fellow trainers, and you accrue
points! Have enough at the end of the year and the best trainers
out of millions will battle it out in the grand finals during
the summer festival!"
Red stops eating his cereal
"Now for a select few of the world's top trainers invitations
have already been invited specifically by the host of this
glorious event Ghetisis! And the winner of this tournament gets
the greatest prize possible. A new Legendary Pokémon!"
Footage of trainers coming off trains, and planes is shown and
being in grand festivals.
The report continues as he hears his mail being delivered
"Invitation on cue." He smirks

invited!" Red cheerily thinks back to him sitting on the floor
of the indigo plateau eating while mew two easily dispatched the
one or two trainers who made it to him every month

chin as if to contemplate "or maybe. It's because the geniuses
running this Uno invert thing know that your win over me was a
fluke." He smiles
