Introductions

Well I will start it off, my name is Scott and I own Sage Brush
Gun Dogs LLC, I train dogs mostly for the foot hunter but do
hunt test training as well. The GSP is my breed of choice, I
like the short hair the versatility and their natural ability.
As those of us who own them know all to well they can be quite
the handful if not getting the proper exercise daily. This is my
second career and think it may be more work than the first
career. But the satisfaction of watching a young dog turn into a
great Hunting companion is so worth it!!!

Hello everyone,
My name is Scott as well. I am retired Army and live in Denver,
CO. We got our dog Scout from Sage Brush in April of 2012. He
is an awesome dog with a great nose and a lot of drive. We will
be sending him up to WA this summer to work with Scott to help
get him to the next level. Scout is from Major / Petra litter.
Everywhere we go we are constantly getting compliments on what a
beautiful dog he is. Looking forward to meeting everyone in
the forum.

Hello,
Names Nate, and from Graham, WA. Do quite a bit of hunting in
the Scatter Creek area, Fort Lewis (JBLM), Potter, Ward, and
Spokane area. I've owned many of labs throughout the years (only
for waterfowl) and one GSP (family pet). In September of 2012 i
purchased my second GSP, from Scott @ Sage Brush Gun Dogs, a
Major / Petra pup (Sadie); at this time shes 5 months old and in
the start of her fourth week of head start training with Scott.
This is my first time using a trainer and was pretty skeptic as
I've never trained a pointer or owned one as of then. So i did
my fair share of months of homework before i purchased a pup.
Multiple people pointed me in Scott's direction, and after
seeing his pups and visiting Sadie only after two weeks into her
head start training i can say I'm truly amazed in her progress
and Scott's training program. I'm very pleased in my decision to
go with Scott and am extremely excited to see how shes doing
after the full four weeks. Without hesitations I've already got
her lined up to return in Late August to finish up with her Gun
Dog training. I'm trying to stay patient but I'm antsy for
September to come to get the 2013 season started. Its gonna be
memorable for sure.
