       Fionna Billinger
       The town of New Amsterdam, Indiana had a population of 32
       people.
       It now has a population of Fionna Billinger. She's presently
       sitting in federal custody, believed to be responsible for the
       horrific massacre of her town. According to her, however, she's
       not responsible. She claims a drifter came to town, wearing all
       black save a clerical collar. She says that he looked at people
       and his eyes would glow, and then he'd whisper something and
       they'd just start melting away. When he looked at her, and his
       eyes glowed, all she had was terror and panic, and all she
       wanted was to stop him. That's when something in her changed,
       and before he could whisper to her she melted him instead.
       Naturally, the feds are dubious about her story. It seems far
       fetched, and awfully convenient that her power kills in such a
       similar manner to the real culprit's.
       Known Powers: She can cause someone's flesh to dissolve into a
       nasty sludge.
       Heroic Deeds: Killing a monster... if her story's real.
       Problems: She may well have killed her entire town.
       Public Perception: Most people aren't buying the sob story.
       Status: In custody.

       Mary Gutierez
       An employee of Albuquerque Emergency Services, Mary Gutierez
       mostly lifts and moves around crashed vehicles and other road
       obstructions.
       Known Powers: Telekinesis
       Heroic Deeds: Mostly doing public good for hire. Lifting people
       out of burning buildings, moving cars out of the way of
       ambulances, cleaning up traffic accidents, etc. She also caught
       one man who leapt off a building with her powers, saving him
       from suicide.
       Problems: Mary is very vocally involved in championing
       homosexual rights. Even with her powers it seems likely
       Emergency Services will fire her just to get out of this. Not to
       mention the potential for arrest.
       Public Perception: A hispanic woman who is openly gay and talks
       about it is naturally the topic of a lot of ire. The fact that
       she's been used to impound a few cars doesn't help either. It
       all overshadows the handful of lives she's saved and the
       significant bit of traffic she's improved.
       Status: Employed by local emergency services... but maybe not
       for much longer.

       Car Crusher Max
       There's been a strange spate of car 'accidents' in Dallas,
       Texas, where cars that appear to have no driver have attempted
       to run people over. It's not just cars, mind, but other vehicles
       as well.
       Maxwell Stevens has been at the forefront of combating this.
       Previously known for using his metahuman powers for a few petty
       crimes, Max has made a new name by destroying these homicidal
       cars and saving people from them.
       Known Powers: Super strength, enhanced speed, supposedly a great
       deal of awareness.
       Heroic Deeds: Saving people from these mad cars, mostly.
       Supposedly he's also been fairly generous with the money he's
       stolen, handing large sums to bums and street people.
       Problems: Criminal history that has not been paid for. Police
       haven't been able to catch him, and he seems uninterested in
       handing himself in.
       Public Perception: The fear of these roving death cars has a lot
       of people siding with the wanted metahuman in Dallas.
       Status: At large and living it up in Dallas.
