       Martin Landow
He's a legally emancipated 15 year old who is richer than Horne
will ever be. He's made a fortune over the last year by playing
the stock markets, because Vegas is too small a venue.
He's been on the news lately after having decided to bail out
every person in NYC being held on suspicion of prostitution and
then inviting them all back to his private penthouse. Yeah, the
police raid got him into jail, but he's out on bail and he's got
the best lawyers and his own hyper-mind to get him out again.
But, he's young. Maybe what he needs is a purpose, or a good
role model to turn him into something better. And Cerberus could
probably use someone to do high end analytics and backroom work.
Known Powers: He's smart. Like, orders of magnitude smart. Maybe
even Hertz smart, or Weeks smart, though he lacks the
educational background of the former and the wisdom of the
       latter.
Heroic Deeds: Not really. He's spent most of his hyper-rich
career making an ass of himself in extravagant ways. Though, on
occasion making an ass of himself has included buying a
racetrack and a racing car for a dying 8 year old, or just
donating a ridiculous amount of money to help the Bengali
refugees. He's also hammered out some long time mathematical
problems (it's all above Horne's head, or at least out of his
       field) seemingly out of boredom.
Problems: He has no evidence of being combat capable, and he's
       certainly reckless.
Public Perception: His metahuman powers have given him the
       proverbial silver spoon.
       Status: Unapproached.

       Tiffany Kells
Horne can't help but think she's incredibly, incredibly
attractive, and that alone makes her worth considering.
Known Powers: Controls water and heals people. What's not to
       like?
Heroic Deeds: She's certainly killed a lot of enemy combatants,
but she's also healed a tremendous number of soldiers on both
       sides.
Problems: Last Horne checked she's sleeping with O'Doyle.
Though, flip that around, it might piss O'Doyle off to have her
       over on this side.
Public Perception: Kells is another metahuman soldier. She's
been on the news here and there, and her looks get people to pay
attention, but at the end of the day people who haven't seen her
in person tend to either like or dislike her based on their
opinions of the war. Men who have seen her in person adore her.
Status: Possibly still in the army? Horne needs to check these
       things.

       Zipperneck
       Well, he wants in...
Known Powers: Super strong. Super indestructible. Flies. Super
       asshole.
Heroic Deeds: Eh... what's the opposite of that? His metahuman
career is a long list of flat out villainy. Maybe not West's
'kill everyone everywhere forever', but economically dangerous
       and full of property destruction.
Problems: Uh... the whole supervillain thing. And his unseemly
       leverage over Horne.
Public Perception: He's a high profile, highly dangerous
criminal that most law enforcement can do nothing about.
Status: At large. He's done the approaching and now he's
       waiting.

       Miles Jefferson
Mostly Horne knows him as the guy who punched a trippin' Dr.
Jones off the stage at Woodstock, but apparently since he's
gotten back home to Jackson, South Carolina, he's been quietly
       working construction.
Known Powers: Super strong. Possibly super-charasmatic, based on
some of the stories out of Jackson.
Heroic Deeds: He's given some interesting motivational speeches
(apparently selected for being a metahuman), and is heavily
involved in local youth groups and anti-crime initiatives. He
also once put a drug dealer in the hospital, and pled guilty to
the battery in court (his statements on the issue are that he
regrets giving into his anger, but he lost it when he found out
the guy was selling to kids). He's also helped emergency first
responders when he finds out about it. He's gone into a burning
building to pull people out, and pulled a family (including the
dog) out of a burning car.
Problems: Well, his anger management might be the big one, but
he seems legitimately sorry about that.
Public Perception: Despite his apparent efforts to live a normal
life, he's become Jackson South Carolina's favored son. A
metahuman for the town, a local hero and celebrity, and
everyone's favorite way to dismiss racists. Outside Jackson he's
       largely unknown.
       Status: Unapproached.

       Boris Mizurski
Horne has met him a few times at Johnson's parties and at
Attica. He's a nice middle aged man, a teacher of some kind if
Horne remembers right. He's honestly always been just... good,
       just all around good.
Known Powers: Boris has transmuted pollutants into clean water,
flown, healed people, put out fires, lifted people and treasured
items telekinetically out of dangerous situations, created force
fields, produced electricity in a power out, melted snow without
raising ambient heat, calmed people down en masse, and... well,
the short version is it's hard to pin point anything he hasn't
done. Except hurt anyone. Literally none of the powers he's ever
manifested have ever done more damage to a human being than stun
       them.
Heroic Deeds: Saved the president's life, put out fires, calmed
the prisoners at Attica, stopped a plane crash, purified
polluted air and waters, restored the hopes and dreams of
victims of all manner of disasters.
Problems: Boris is presently on the run from his duties to
Johnson, and is openly speaking against him. It's going to be
hard if Horne can't convince him that he's not one of Johnson's
       stoogies.
Also, according to Boris himself his power is fueled by hope,
which may not be available in every face off with a monster.
Public Perception: Torn. On the one hand, the people he's saved
see him understandably as a hero, but since he's come to speak
against Johnson the press is against him, calling him disloyal
       and unpatriotic.
       Status: Presently somewhere out west.

       Franklin Herbert
Horne remembers him mostly as a worried father and emergency
responder from Wallkill. It appears he's taken to roving around
the country responding to emergencies he should have no way of
knowing about and healing people of both injuries and some
       sicknesses.
Known Powers: Teleporter, but only to send people back to their
parents. Supposedly can also create a telepathic link between
parent and child. Is somehow able to discover or even predict
people in danger over distance. Heals, though exactly how
effective his disease treatment is is hard to tell at this
       juncture.
Heroic Deeds: While his original empowering was rife with
overreactions, going around the country helping people seems a
       net positive.
Problems: There's a question of exactly how useful he could be
in fighting metahumans, but if he really can sense problems from
afar that may be worth it.
Public Perception: Mostly poorly known, though positive in most
circles that do. Weird reputation amongst those who met him at
       Woodstock.
Status: Roving the country, so kind of hard to find.

       Howard March (no relation)
Horne might remember him as the other empowered Wallkill
       resident.
       Known Powers: Sound control.
Heroic Deeds: Eh... Heroic might be pushing it, but March has
been very active in the Wallkill community, and very persnickety
       about noise control.
Problems: Seems a bit... angry, and very conservative.
Public Perception: Wallkill's conservatives love him, the
       liberals and youth hate him.
Status: Public figure in his hometown.

       Ralph Jorgensen
There's a man who can turn into a swarm of ghosts challenging
people to hockey games up in Michigan. His ghost team against
any challenging teams. He hasn't had many takers. People are
kind of freaked by the ghosts.
Known Powers: Turns into a bunch of freakish green ghost things.
Heroic Deeds: Does playing hockey count as heroic? There is a
story, possibly false, that he used his powers to scare off a
man who was not taking no for an answer from a woman at a bar.
Mind you, he scared the entire bar with the ghost bit.
Problems: Does he even want to do more with his life?
Public Perception: Kind of a joke up in Michigan, where a parody
version of A Cowboy Legend has been written (Ghost Grinders on
       the Ice)
       Status: Waiting for a challenge.

       Dr. and Mrs. Hamil
A pair out in Nebraska who made the news after they took down a
local metahuman criminal (Hal Thompson, who has the power to
       move through electric lines).
Known Powers: Supposedly Dr. Hamil did something to make the
Thomspon sick. Not life threateningly sick, but vomiting and out
of sorts. They let him stew with that for a few days before Mrs.
Hamil came after him and through a combination of force,
persuasion and not getting stopped by lightning, got him to
       surrender to the police.
Heroic Deeds: Stopping Thompson, mostly. Dr. Hamil claims to
have cured some people of disease as well, but there's no strong
       evidence.
Problems: A romantic relations in these things are always
tricky. Also, while not exactly hiding her identity, Mrs. Hamil
has the flamboyance of costume Horne is trying to avoid.
Public Perception: Right now they're big shots in their small
       town. Local heroes.
Status: Enjoying the limelight in Nebraska.

       Cole Allen
Cole Allen is a Maine fisherman of no real significance. Before
the ship Reel Talk got caught in Doria he'd been in the
newspaper exactly three times: birth, marriage, and in a small
feature about how he and his brother Norman were pushing to move
the biweekly trash collection in their hometown to a weekly
       affair.
Then the ship got caught in the storm, he was thrown overboard
along with every other soul on the ship, and was absolutely
certain he was going to die. But, a glowing rainbow of moving
light arrived and when it did he and his fellow fishermen lifted
right out of the water, and then were flown back across the air
       to land.
Now, Allen is planning on living a very long time.
Known Powers: Allen appears to be indestructible. He claims that
he's tried to cut his skin with a knife after realizing he
wasn't scarring from fishing before, only for the knife to
break. He doesn't seem to be bothered by things like breathing,
either, as his record for being underwater is over an hour, and
he only stopped out of boredom.
Heroic Deeds: Allen's done some diving to help recover items
lost in Doria. In his interview he says he doesn't really know
what to do with his powers, but is hoping to find a way to help
       people.
Problems: None predictable from this point.
Public Perception: Local newspaper's suggest Allen's a nice
local character with a strong interest in the community, but no
one's sure what to make of his power.
Status: Unsure what to do with his powers.
