July 16th, 1969, 9:32am UTC, Apollo 11 launches. While an effort
seems to be made to keep him from the lime light, Green G is
present for the launch. The metahuman is on hand should anything
go wrong with the program, as an extra insurance. Reportedly,
Green G stays at the Johnson Space Center to be in constant
contact with Mission Control, just in case.
On July 21st, 2:39 UTC, two humans (two American humans) walked
on the Moon. And they broadcasted it. The whole world sat and
watched as Neil Armstrong flubbed his most famous line, and NASA
joked about him being the only person not watching it on TV.
They even got a phone call from Johnson, straight from the White
House, telling them how proud the world is to have these brave
       men standing on the Moon.
Of particular note, Johnson's speech applauds the hard work and
years of dedication that went into this incredible achievement.
"Let this stand as a testament to what man can achieve. In this
age of incredible things and strange wonders, let us always
remember that it was not the gift of superpowers but the hard
work of ordinary men and women that fulfilled President
Kennedy's dream of doing what was hard." (segment)
And on July 24th, the men returned to Earth and splashed down
into the ocean. Never once did Green G have to be dispatched. It
was, as Johnson said, a triumph of traditional science and hard
work. Proof that people were not irrelevant in a world
       increasingly focused on metahuman influences.
