camping trip of randomness!

"come on everyone! don't fall behind! we're almost there!" sonic
yelled behind him as he skidded to a stop for probably the tenth
time today. it was a bright, sunny day in metropolis forest, and
everyone had decided to go camping together. sonic, being the
adventurous and outdoorsy hedgehog he is, was naturally excited.
he found himself often overtaking everyone and moving forward
just a little to fast. not that he took much notice to this. he
was standing in the middle of the dirt trail waiting for
everyone to catch up to him. he had his normal grin on his face
and his eyes glistened from the sun. unlike everyone else, sonic
didn't need to pack a bag. all he needed was his shoes and
gloves. so he didn't have the burden of having to drag a bag
everywhere with him.
"you guys are all slowpokes!" he called out again, beginning to
become impatient now.
((OOC: feel free to drop in and drop out as you please in this
rp! its just for fun, and anything can happen! ^^))

Lucina was running to try to catch up to Sonic. "I'n sorry that
most of us can not run as fast as you, but that is no excuse to
tell us to 'hurry up!'" She barely caught up and takes some deep
breaths. "I should have rode a horse!" She fixes the shoulder
straps of her backpack.

Falkner panted as he finally caught up to the speedy blue
hedgehog. "Relax... I'm... only human." He replied. The bird
tamer was excited to see the great outdoors again, but Sonic was
a bit too fast for him. He sighed and followed along with the
others.

Trees shook to life as something from above attempted to weave
his way through their branches without injury. The crimson
angel planted his feet on a branch he thought would support his
weight as he folded his wings in. With a loud crack that hope
was dashed as he scrambled to stay in the air from such an
unsavory starting position. It wasn't his most graceful landing
but somehow Ledah managed to come to a stop on his feet just
behind the group.
"Perhaps I will not fly the rest of the way..." Ledah tried to
brush all the stray leaves and twigs from his plumage. "This
forest has become a might too dense for my tastes." After giving
his wings a great flap to discharge the debris, he ran a hand
through his blond hair in an effort to regain his composure. He
reminded himself that it could be worse before closing in on the
others, looking upon the exhausted humans. "It seems I will be
joining you on foot for the remainder of this journey."

Lucina crosses her arms. "So how much further until we get to
the camp grounds?" She asked as Ledah landed. "Are you okay? It
sounded like you were wrestling a bear in that tree." She asked
looking back at him.

"I am fine. This certainly isn't my worst experience with
trees." Ledah nodded to Lucina, his hand going to his sternum
partially due to reflex. "It's certainly been a while since I
traveled on foot with a group like this." The blond briefly
looked beyond his blue colored companions, his eyes not really
focusing on anything in particular. He quickly shook his head,
freeing himself from his memories, and returned his hand to his
side. "You are unaware of how far we have to travel as well
then?"

She chuckled slightly and nods her head. "Good don't want anyone
to get hurt." She crossed her arms ans smiled softly. "I believe
that rest of us were following the blue hedgehog doesn't know
how to slow down." She said jokingly. "But don't you have a
map?" She asked looking over at Falkner.

"Weeelllll, i know i don't have a map, so we better hope pokemon
guy here has one." Sonic said from behind ledah, lucina and
falkner. completely butting into their conversation. He then
proceeded to look at the three in interest. A playful smirk
dominated his muzzle.
"well, aren't you three gettin' cozy" he said teasingly,
winking at them before disappearing in a streak of blue.

Ledah watched the hyperactive woodland creature speed ahead of
them before letting out a sigh. "How troublesome. Without
direction all that speed is wasted. That said, Falkner, you did
remember to bring a map, didn't you?" He turned to his other
blue haired traveling companion hoping the gym leader had not
set out on such a trip unprepared.
