Out of the box thinking

I set up a meeting with the mechanical engineering group at the
University of Central Florida. with the intent of vetting
several ideas I had realized over the years. 10 minutes into
the meeting, they began an earnest recruitment. They want me to
help students think out-of-the-box.
Quite flattered I am, but I do have a good plan to unscrew their
minds from the focus they had. I plan to focus them toward
understanding that they control their destiny.

"I plan to focus them toward understanding that they control
their destiny."
That was poorly presented.
I don't intend to manipulate, rather, just expose them to real
data which may rattle their scientific foundation. :D

This is where we arrive at the same place Nessa but the
expression of what that place looks like is quite different, for
you the end of any reliance on another's mind is "Barren ground"
over here it's like I've finally stumbled into my own garden
(thats been here all along) after stealing fruit and vegetables
from other's gardens most of my life.
Self reliance doesn't feel like barren ground over here...

Yeah, thats what I meant by "stealing", that to engage others I
had to pretend or mold myself into their ways and desires of
being because my own weren't appreciated or available, to others
or myself (blocked by shame). When I did begin cultivating "my"
garden it gained me acceptance and praise in a new theater but
still just an actor on stage playing a role and then that role
became what entrapped me on the stage, "how can the play go on
if I don't play the title role?"
I was stealing from myself. Then, one fine day there was no
longer a self to steal from.
So now I respond to the stimuli and deal with the repercussions
of meddling in humanity to the extent that I do, what I have
noticed is that humans are constantly trying to keep me engaged,
to validate their experience I'd guess...
