A Concept for Society
DIR By: rgardner
Date: October 22, 2015, 5:21 pm

It occurs to me that society took off in a direction
inconsistent with survival.
Look around, warlord gangs end up running the world.
I am working a socio-economic experiment with others.
Can humans work together with a concept named corporatism?
Humans would actually be part owners of their land mass, unlike
the way things are.
It has not yet happened, but there is a group: seasteading.org
working to create a workable society.
I am one of them.

Cool Ray, actually I'll have to call you SeaRay from now on, I
thought that video and Idea was cool, much more doable than
space obviously but still a problem with the inevitable asteroid
strike, unless they build straws going to an underwater fortress
to evade the carnage, might just work! ;D

My concept of corporatism is socioeconomic entity with no
leadership.
Individual leaders have consistently created havoc throughout
history.
I envision a corporate state where each citizen has an partial
ownership (common stock), and an allowance based on preferred
stock. Unlike contemporary corporations, the "leadership" is
executives hired (and approved by majority decision) by the
corporation to be the "decision makers". There must be a
"status quo" of
"decision makers" available 24/7.
Every citizen has food/shelter/health care/education.
I truly believe that every human has an innate desire to please
their peers and feel needed.
This innate desire should fulfill the needs of a working
society.
Let's discuss the possibilities.

Society isn't meant to work, it is meant to disrupt and
divide... This is ego-land, divide and rule country... it is
never going to work and it is not about survival of us, just
survival of ego/maya --- and she's doing great.

Can't agree that it isn't meant to work... Agree that current
society does not work. What you assess as impossible, I see as
challenge. That is what drives me to develop a concept that
might work.
Was hoping for constructive feedback ;D

Ray I realize that you may not be a biologist but i was curious
about the behavior of a parasitic organism and how it relates to
human behavior. Is it self aware? Self destructive. Does it ever
stop consuming out of the awareness that it is killing its host
and consequently its self?
I don't know. I tried to research it but lost interest. I have a
very short attention span. But I guess I just see humans as a
more evolved parasite. Intelligent. But not intelligent enough
to stop killing itself.
I guess I have a hard time being convinced that society is
supposed to function and that humanity is supposed to survive.
Sounds like an unnecessary headache.

I think that awareness is the key for a workable society.
By awareness, I mean the god consciousness that all is one.
Having explored with meditation, hypnosis, and with brain
entrainment, I have no doubt that any human can become aware of
both god consciousness and aware of inner self/spirit/soul.
This research is in it's infancy, but in time.....
Hopefully, by the time we develop individual autonomous floating
communities, they may be populated with aware humans who are as
perceptive as children before the BS is cultivated.
A dream at this time, but a goal post to shoot for. (Ever the
optimist ;))

Ray entered the small auditorium and stepped up to the podium.
The auditorium only seated 60 in 5 inclining rows, so no
microphone was necessary. In this instance, there were only
about 40 seats occupied.
"On behalf of the departments that identified your potential and
invited you and perhaps a loved one or friend to this resort,
let me express our appreciation for your presence.”
“We truly hope that you have enjoyed your visit to this point.
And of course, we hope that any employment offers that may be
extended are seriously considered.”
“You’re probably wondering why an old man is addressing you at
this point, so allow me to introduce myself. My name is Ray
Gardner, and I’ve been involved with Liberation since its
conception.”
There was a pause as the attendees murmured amongst themselves.
“Aren’t you the author of the book, ‘Escaping Insanity’, that
preceded the formation of the Liberation corporation?” asked one
of the young audience members.
“Guilty!” Ray replied and continued, “The book was written to
describe my dream of this future vision. This resort and
community is the product of my fantasies.
“Liberation was formed almost 15 years ago to build a community
dedicated to the welfare and individual development of its
residents. The intent was to produce an environment providing
comfort and safety. Further we are committed to unrestricted
access to education and resources. By maximizing the potential
of each individual, we find that innovation is stoked.”
“Since an all-inclusive tropical resort seemed to work as a both
a business and community core, that’s what we chose to start
with. Entertainment and recreation activities naturally evolved
from that base. Then the necessities for health and well-being
of both the resort guests and residents fostered the full circle
of support functions that have led us to self-sufficiency.”
“Along the path to self-sufficiency, we were fortunate enough to
attract some of the brightest minds in the world in areas such
as medicine, physics, engineering, education, and social
sciences. As a result, the innovations developed by Liberation
have spread back throughout the entire world. I am proud to say
that what started as a resort has evolved into the world’s most
productive research and development center.”
“But beyond the innovation aspects, Liberation serves as a
positive socio-economic model to the entire world.”
A hand shot up from the group, “What do you actually mean by a
socio-economic model? What’s different here than elsewhere?”
“Good question!” Ray responded.
“Liberation is based on a government form called corporatism.
Each resident/citizen of
Liberation owns a part of Liberation, like common stock in a
corporation. Liberation common stock is awarded based on months
of residency, so the longer the residency, the more common
stock, and “voting” clout a citizen holds.”
“Unlike typical corporations, Liberation does not have an
executive leader structure per say. A group of individuals are
approved by common stockholders as the executive branch. There
is an executive quorum on duty 24/7, usually playing interactive
computer games, but available in the event of executive decision
necessity.”
“Each citizen is also awarded some preferred stock as an
allowance stipend. Common stockholders set a credit rate
associated with the preferred stock. We are paying off the cost
of the construction of Liberation with preferred stocks and
bonds at pre-defined interest rates.”
“Additionally, every task that a citizen performs has some
predetermined credit value that he or she earns. In Liberation,
credits are essentially currency.”
“The value of these credits are compared with world currencies
and can be converted for your use in travel.”
Another hand shot up followed with a statement. “Sounds like
communism! What motivation does anyone have to exceed if all
one gets is a preferred stock stipend and some task oriented
credits?”
“I hadn’t got to the part about exceeding,” Ray countered.
“In our society, innovation is highly rewarded. If you develop a
process improvement that can be measured, you will be awarded
preferred stock representing a portion of that process
improvement. If you invent and we secure legal ownership, then
you will be awarded preferred stock representing a portion of
corporate profits from your ideas. If you contract services
with other countries for corporate profit, you will share via
preferred stock in the proceeds. There is no limit on how much
an individual can earn.”
“There are many levels of comfort within Liberation. The basic
bedroom and bath, which is available for all citizens can evolve
into the ocean side multi-level mansion with a yacht dock, horse
ranch, and personal airport. At least, that’s most opulence of
which I am aware. Free enterprise is enthusiastically welcomed.”
Another hand and voice, “So, what you are asking us to do, is
take a job that is not specifically defined, and move to what
appears to be an isolated paradise.”
“Your choice, think about it. We just attained nation status
with the UN two weeks ago”
“What does that mean?”, one asked.
“Everything! We are our own state.. country.. nation… "

Well, I am sorry, Mr. Gardner, but it won't work.
You actually do not understand the concept "MAYA" and what it is
and how it works, and that MAYA is what this world creates and
that it must be the way it is or else there won't be a world or
a you and other people to live happily ever after... do you?

Sorry Mr. Frits.
You are only a very slightly negative opinion on a highly
positive explosive event.
Life is great!
You are invited, however deranged. After all, it is screwy MAYA
/AKA Haloween season.
Again, I must say you, Frits, appear to have some fears,
unknowns haunting you.
