event horizon

‘Click’. Yes, that works fine.
Deconstruction of non-events is just the kind of thing that gets
Maya wet where it counts and -while I understand the social
reflex to acknowledge (thanks, Sklato) - “I” am obviously in no
way different: the exact same fiction I have always been.
Impossible to narrate, but as a rough sensory allegory:
something’s a little out of focus, not quite right for so long
that it’s assumed to be normal - but never quite native to what
I am…until one day you see or hear or do something in a way that
bumps …something... out of some kind of groove and…there’s this
gradual but inexorable resolution into clarity…and the “???”
just start to pop like soap bubbles.
Even so, there’s a long gap before an oh-so whispered, “yes”
and, with it, the recognition that this same jingle has been
playing all along, but the mind was too clenched, or elsewhere
focused…or something…and just never really heard it. Silence is
a sound…and other poetic bullshit.
Perhaps it represents a kind of shift in critical mass of the
degree of disidentification with form and this “me” entity I’ve
come to know as a fiction? How long have I been done? There are
clues, but it really isn't more than a curiosity. A red herring
from Maya to Maya...and pointless besides.
Intellectually, there’s a gratitude to Jed and my consciously
appointed gurus (you guys will be action figures when they make
the movie of my glorious life!) But the quietly ironic truth is
that the entire universe and everything in it is arrayed for
nought but to delight and enlight…the thing is: who’s actually
paying attention?
It is towards that not-at-all-ironic quietness that I actually
feel the warmest sensation. I'm home.
Still tidying up, but the campaign itself has concluded. In the
words of our lord, John Lennon, “War is over”.

Dear biisuto, thank you for sharing this!
Your description of this experience is very, very beautiful, and
it perfectly describes how it has happened to me too.
Sorry to say, my awakening was some of the "non-abiding" kind,
so as beautiful as it was, around one week later the exact
reverse process started: gradual but inexorable resolution out
of clarity…and the “???” just start to appear again ... and
before I knew it, everything was out of focus again, and I was
in this depression again wondering what went wrong, or actually
what went right in the first place.
Somehow during that whole experience, I somehow felt may be on a
gut level that it wasn't really going to last, or I felt somehow
afraid or "losing it", losing that clarity, as weird as it
sounds.
So what has been your experience with this? Can you see on some
level if it is the full, abiding kind, can you really see if it
is going to last or if there is any way back from it?
I'm sorry if this questions is somehow incoherent or irrelevant,
frankly I don't know what a coherent questions would be, I just
felt the need to share this.
Thank you :)

Gah, had to reply to Penks... (this "not being social" isn't
working very well)
Penks, there is a big difference between Cosmic Unity (which is
awesome and you have no ??? for awhile) and what B and I just
went through which is just "no more questions period" which
doesn't have the attendant emotional flood of Bliss. Jed talks
about the difference in Damnedest when at the beginning he
debunks the myth that a C/U event is enlightenment or "Done".
While a C/U event is the greatest experience you can have, it is
non abiding, it can set you in motion toward "Done" but thats
all, it is an "awakening" and then later he talks about Paul who
just one day "had no more questions" no fireworks, no big deal,
except, the world is different and you know it will not go back
to the way it was, pretty simple and abiding, I wake everyday my
mind expecting to feel like it used to or to have some anxiety
or question or even a hint of that and it's nowhere to be found.
I had my first C/U a long time ago, thought that was "IT" and
quit working, slowly I found myself even more tightly wrapped in
Maya's nightmare than before, for 20 years... in other words
Penks, Further.
@Justin, Shhh just doesn't work for some people, it's Adya that
says there are all types of Enlightened personalities, there is
no "right" way to act after enlightenment, he said some who he
knows are enlightened are chatty, some are quiet and everywhere
in between, it's a mistake to expect "The Done" to act like you,
what's the next step, to judge the veracity of their doneness
because it doesn't "look" like yours? Just an observation, I
like that I am the same person, just without questions, don't
shhh me motherf*cker ;D 8)

Hmmmmmmmmmmmm.
Plato, thanks for bringing that up. I have always had problems
with this "Unity Consciousness" thing, I have heard you talking
about it before, you have explained it to me before, and yes I
have read about it in Jed's books.
But it always sounded too freaky to me, or too "mystical", and
actually, I have no actual idea about what it is or what it
could be like.
So... what is it? :-X
How do I know if that really is what has happened to me? Could
you please explain it to me in more details, so may be I could
identify some of the traits and figure out what it really was?
I never looked at it like a UC, because it never felt that way.
The event biisuto described looks much more like it, actually
exactly like it. I even get the chills when I read it.
So I always thought of it more like of the "non-abiding
awakenings" that Adyashanti talks about, than any kind of
"mystical" event or UC.

Welcome to 'no questions', guys.
It's very ordinary. I wrote in my blog a year ago:
'When Realisation hits you, you UNDERSTAND the layers of every
meaning, from those shallow ones you touched upon before from
your limited perspective, to the sharp view of what is –
infinitely greater, there is no end to it, it will keep rolling.
There is NO LIMIT to Consciousness, YOUR Consciousness.
Don’t equate Spiritual Awakening with metaphysics or mystical
experiences, though they will play a part.. Spiritual is about
breaking yourself down to basics and getting to that real thing
– the truth of your OWN essence. Call it Spirit if you like.
Will hurt like hell, will destroy everything you hate AND
everything you love. EVERYTHING YOU LOVE TOO!! Make no mistake
about it, THIS ONE will be the hardest of all.
The actual Realisation is a light bulb moment, but not about
little pieces of this and that.. those have been coming in
gradually over the course of weeks, months and years, depending
on how long you’ve struggled.. the actual light bulb moment
encompasses EVERYTHING. In one broad sweep. It’s like something
has suddenly rearranged in your head, and things fell into
Clarity.
You are able to see from high above, the entire view of Life.
Things will look different. Don’t take it literally here.. the
leaves will still be green in colour, and the mall will look
like a mall, and you won’t levitate. There will be no strange
music in your ears, and no thunderbolts.. unless you are having
a mystical experience at the same time.
You may not quite believe it at first. How can it be so… not
like what they describe? That’s because no one can adequately
describe colour ‘red’ to the blind. Try, right now. You’d have
to use the language the blind understand: touch, smell, sound… A
sound of red…. makes any sense to any normal seeing person?
Hardly. It’s also because the light bulb moment is a highly
individual experience, and would be different for everyone. What
would be the same – your Mind will open up.
You’ll know everything changed, but what’s there to SHOW FOR IT?
All the struggle, pain, losing your mind, practically giving up
on life.. what is there to show anyone? Absolutely nothing.
That’s the paradox. It’s YOU who stepped out of the Known. Your
physical appearance hasn’t changed. Your home is still the same.
You haven’t become ‘perfect’ in any way, and haven’t developed
supernatural abilities. But it’s not ‘you’ how everyone and your
former Self have known. The Being is of a different kind. And
there’s not a penny of evidence on the surface. Ah the beautiful
world we live in.. all on the surface.
You CAN’T GO BACK. If you try – IT WILL HAMMER YOU. It’s an
irreversible thing. It will deepen in time, already you know
that your interactions have changed, have been changing for some
time. You’ve lost desire to convert anyone or talk about
anything spiritual, hey.. can anyone ‘die’ during a course of a
conversattion? You will acutely feel the lie when it’s being
dished out to you. You won’t settle for frivolities of an
interaction. It will make others uncomfortable. You will not
want many exchanges with people.
You’ve gained the world, because.. there is nothing in the world
to gain. Any identity is available.. any course of action is
open. Everything is just.. there. “Infinitely greater than me”…
your Personality ‘me’. Personalities don’t grow. There is
nothing ‘greater’ in them than what already is. The real ‘you’
has an infinite capacity to evolve.'

An elegant expression of "it" G, well said. It felt like that
hundred monkeys thing, like I had to make so many realizations
that at some time I hit the "event horizon" a tipping point
where everything shifted, once and for all, to a different
paradigm. It's like they say, you can't get there through effort
but without effort you'll never get there. it's an attrition
deal, keep at it and then suddenly, without fanfare, no more
questions, quite anti-climactic... that was the only shocking
thing about it, that it wasn't shocking at all.
@Penks, if you have a UC you will know it like the oracle in The
Matrix says "Balls to bone", it's communion with source, it is
unlike anything you'll ever experience here. Same for "no
questions" balls to bone only it's just you, your own
realization within your depths, mind just gets out of the way
somehow, no longer is the ringmaster at the circus in your head,
hard to explain but I guess thats it, "I am" now controls 51% of
the stock and mind has to shut up and listen, the next 10 years
is just "I am" slowly buying out mind's 49% stake in this
venture...
Also, I used to have the same squeezing in chest, anxiety, I
could hear my windpipe gurgling from the constrictions while I
lay in bed in terror, I headed to the emergency room thinking I
was having a heart attack once... this is a good sign my friend,
the storm has to come inland before it can pass, you've got work
to do, stay with awareness, the worst that can happen is you die
and that's actually the best that can happen, you win either way
;D
