My favorite saying as well; "Forgive them for they know not what
they do". The Bible couches those words from Jesus lips to God's
ears but that's wrong, why would Jesus deign to tell God what to
do? He wouldn't, that message is for us. Forgive "them" even
when they are killing you, for they don't have a clue and for
that matter, neither does the "I" and it never can, the wisdom
Tolle speaks of comes from the elimination of the "I" so how
could the "I" be wise when it is itself the impediment to
       wisdom?
It's impossible for the "I" to forgive in the way Jesus
expresses the sentiment in this statement. The only way Jesus
can forgive those who are currently destroying his "I'ness" is
by having already eliminated the 'I' from the Self, It died
before he was killed. The "I" only sees the small picture that
Tolle speaks of here, the Self is in communion with the big
picture, the entire ocean, not just a bucket of water.
When you can't, won't or don't forgive those whose "I'ness" or
ego has run amok (Donald Trump, Putin, your parents, your
siblings, your children, your self) you can guarantee you have
become the monster you set out to obliterate.

As far as "The great reset" goes... Meh, maybe, maybe not. I
don't see ego diminishing on this planet anytime soon, that
being said it has diminished here so, what do "I" know? When
Tolle starts speaking about what will happen in the future he
has unavoidably left the "Now", so he has, IMHO become a prophet
of sorts and in the process tossed aside his own teaching in
       doing so. ::)

Anyone can tap into the Source of Wisdom. But if the vessel is
not empty (not-knowing) that wisdom will be coming out more or
less distorted, "enriched" by personal demons. So I would be
careful about listening to those who are disregarding the
       purification (emptying) process.
The purer the vessel the more optimistic the visions.

Agree, I just think we are on different pages concerning how to

I like and respect both of these gentlemen but I'm not sure how
"woke" Russell Brand actually is. See, and I don't agree with
everything he said but when Eckhart talks about being careful
not to become the monster you're fighting he's talking about the
principal of "energy flows where attention goes." And Russell is
like a pig in **** when getting involved in all of the
outrageous and controversial, conspiracies and hidden agendas. A
"NEWS" guy. No different than say, your neighbor. Or that one
dude at work whom you expect just likes having something to
       complain about. .
That's the problem with people, no matter what they think, they
seem to become fanatical about it, immersed to the point they
think it's "who they are." No space between and always a reason
for why they can't just be happy in the here and now. Whatever
that is, it's not "stupidity" like he says but I see it more as
an inability to step away from the stream of thought and become
an observer that can see the vastness of their being. The
potentiality of who they are rather than a pin pointing and
defending of this or that which always seems to be changing.
Anytime that's the case, no matter what the cause, you're not
dealing with a truly awake individual.
EVERYTHING is multifaceted. Whenever you come to a singular
conclusion on anything you can bet your ass you are 100% wrong
because all you have are "your word and your balls" - Al Pacino.
and that doesn't quite encompass the whole now does it? No
matter how hard you try and how "wise" you think you are, true
wisdom lies in knowing what you don't know. All these crazy
folks running around are simply doing the opposite of that.
Thinking and believing and clawing and scratching to "prove"
that they are right. Who has successfully done that lately? Or
is it an on going battle?
When I talk about simplicity and focusing on oneself it's just a
way of steering clear the "mental illness" they speak of. Taking
control of the only things I can rather than being abducted by
the hive mind that hijacks authentic, individual discernment in
a here now kinda way. That thing that should kick in during an
actual life or death situation. Which is what you are in as a
       matter of fact.
Awareness isn't the key, your ability to control your attention
and awareness is. You're aware. The question is of what? What is
the payoff for your time and attention on those particular
things. Are they even relevant to you? That's something everyone
should consider. But hey, it your dime.

Silencing the noise, redirecting attention, carrying all those
ideas of what "woke" people should and should not be doing.
Phew, sounds like a lot of work. I'm way too lazy for it, I
think I'll stick with saving the world ;P
No, seriously. Doing requires lots of energy. Non-doing does
not. It pays off to figure out the difference.
As Jed put it while still on his spiritual honeymoon:
"I never do anything I don’t feel like doing and nothing ever
goes undone. When I think of something I’d rather be doing, I do
it. If I were to develop an authentic desire to, say, climb
Mount Everest, then the wherewithal to do so would appear in a
timely and effortless fashion. If I were to develop an
inauthentic desire to climb Everest, then I would quickly
recognize it as such and let it fall away."
What's the difference between authentic and inauthentic desires?
Is it for mind to decide? A guessing game?
Some people say: "if I listened to my body I would be eating
chocolate all day". But is that an authentic desire? Or the
body's desperate attempt to get our attention? Or to numb the
       pain.
Maybe Brand's youtube channel is his chocolate. But does that
mean he should stop doing it? And do what instead? Find some
       other distraction? Something more "woke"?
There's a reason one's attention goes in a particular direction.
And suppressing one's desires - never a good idea. Ask catholic
       church :P

I can only speak from the experience here so... I lived an
entire life from inauthentic desire and mind/programming was the
catalyst in it. I went to church on Sunday to fulfill the
expectations of others, not necessarily from a desire to worship
a god (inauthentic) Now on Sunday I paint, go for a hike, golf,
spend time with friends and family and glory in the creations of
       the infinite (authentic).
I started creating art as a child out of the sheer joy of
creation (authentic) later I created art to gain accolades and
build up my ego structure, to be seen as "special" (inauthentic)
Once I realized how empty that was I had to re-find that
childhood desire for process and creation, I once again relished
in the loss of "self" during the process and let the end product
"emerge" without trying to manipulate the value the product
might have or how it would be received by others (authentic).
One's "authenticity" arises automatically from the step back
from mind and the elimination of one's adherence to childhood
programming. If you have to ask the difference between the two,
then by default you fall into the inauthentic camp.
