ER is dead, long live CR!

Now that 'Her Maj' (as the probably still-warm British monarch
is affectionately known to some) has passed... her famous
monogram "ER" (standing for "Elizabeth Regina") will now change
to "CR", standing for ..."Charles Rex".
       .. think about it...
       [glow=red,2,300]C-Rex[/glow]
...is at last ascending to the throne!!!
       ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D (someone had to say it...you're welcome!)

This reminds of something Jed said and I don't recall the exact
words but the essence was...... people will mourn over a
celebrity and it will make world top news and yet no one cares
if a bird dies. As if one life is more important than the other.
I just remember the impact those words had.

This is probably true for the unawakened (sans sociopaths), for
anyone graced with The Understanding (Perennial Wisdom) the deep
knowledge of Oneness precludes any grief, why grieve when all is
one? The Understanding brings with it equanimity in all things.
Do you grieve when a wave ends it's journey across the ocean on
some distant shore? Or when a mosquito gets slapped, weed gets
pulled? Then why grieve one person's (of the trillions) journey
through life? I understand that it seems impossible to celebrate
the end of a life the way we celebrate the beginning but it's
not, this concept is in all the great masters messages and
teachings yet universally ignored in all the religions that
       espouse those very same teachings.
Memes like the one above are why awakened people are drawn out
of the cave to do battle, these memes are great for people who
are looking for some soothing psychological "out" of their
immediate pain and suffering but they do nothing in regards to
awakening and are actually a step in the wrong direction.

Well.. have I shared a laughter with the wave or embraced its
physical form? Did I have a meaningful conversstion with a
mosquito, my friend? Have I messed the hair of a street dog many
       a time, like my son's?
They are made of the same matter as myself. But they are not
part of me in the same way as those we once were close to.
Nothing matters in the grave, true. The dead don't care. But
everything matters to the living, or else I'd rather die.
       [/quote]
       Welcome back my friend!
Would I have grieved had Putin's war machine wiped you off the
planet? I could feel loss and possibly sadness, the essence of
which would be astronomically minuscule as compared to "my" type
of grieving prior to the Understanding. Let me explain, you see,
I know you are already dead. As am I and every person I've ever
had any engagement with here, it's in my mind always, the scythe
hanging by a thread over mine and everyone else's head at all
times. Yes, you could say I have a leg up on the crowd on this
issue, who (ignorantly) for the most part, live their lives as
if they and everyone they care about are immortal... because
after losing a child, that fantasy is blown to smithereens and
seen for the lie it always was.
Arjuna lifts his sword to start the battle why? Because he
finally understands what Krishna means when he says "They are
       all already dead" (paraphrasing)
That's why I relate to the stoic who when told his son had been
killed in battle stated "I knew he was not immortal." people
think to not grieve is a fantasy, but no, the fantasy is
actually that everyone thinks people should keep living... when
the actual reality is; we are all dead.
The time of death is the only aspect thats still up for grabs
and so this is where the herd's focus remains but reality tells
me, time of death is not even relevant.
When one FULLY realizes this, balls to bone, then one is never
surprised and grief is no longer in play. When the scythe falls
upon yours, your grief will not come from "loving" them, it will
come from the fact that you never recognized that they were
dying all along and probably treated them like you had all the
time in the world to repair or deepen that relationship...
The greatest part of this understanding is the constant
recognition of how fragile and tenuous existence is, not in a
fear based way but just a simple understanding, which opens the
possibility for every interaction to be met with one's best foot
forward... at all times, because that moment and that
       person/place/thing is already gone.

If you know how you're going to feel in this or that situation
then your feelings are programmed. Not real. "I can't control
life, but at least I can control my reaction to life". And that
control causes separation between consciousness (love) and
matter (body). Which causes grief in the body.
There is a difference between consciousness HOLDING every part
of the unconscious until it realizes (remembers) that it is part
of the whole, that it is love... and ego BULLYING the body into
love because it had had a GLIMPSE into the nature of things.
A good parent does not say to the child: "STFU, there are no
monsters under your bed". A good parent takes the child by the
hand so the child can feel safe and see it for himself.
Jed's teachings cover awakening of the parent.. to some degree.
They do not cover awakening of the child (embodiment).
So what that all is love already if that love is unconscious of
       itself?
Grief is the result of unconscious being unconscious. And you
can't make unconscious conscious by changing narrative in your
head.. nor by collecting spiritual experiences. But that is not
what spiritual practice is about. Spiritual practice is (should
be) about.. wait for it.. BEING.
Can you sit in silence for however long without wanting to run?
Do you feel perfectly fine when another person is looking into
your eyes? If the answers are YES, congratulations, maybe you
are enlightened. Maybe there is nothing hiding in the shadows
and you are love incarnate. If no, WHAT IS IT that wants to run
away, what is it that doesn't want to be seen?
