       Kill the Buddha...anyone...?

Hey y'all ... whilst catching up on this forum the other day I
couldn't help noticing the amount of smack talk about the guy in
whose shadow this forum came into being ... and it's been kinda
poking at me, so I've been wondering if it's not time to
actually go and kill the buddha, rather than just snipe at the
       man suit.
Is there a thread for that already that I missed? Is anybody
willing to cast the first stone?

Tears of hurt feelings, N... I'm not interested in doing the
killing - indeed I've no ammo to do so, myself, so you're right
I expect... not much chop as a sniper.
I was just interested, with the things I was reading here about
the guy, whether anybody had anything that could strike down or
at his works. That's always been the part of particular interest
       here.
As to the assertion that the mansuit is all there is... that
seems a curiously meat-centric destination for the (cliche
warning) post-enlightened... which still seems useful data,
       granted.

       ---------------------------------------------------------
...as for how this mansuit is going... riding the breeze
between wilfulness and surrender. The surrender part keeps
yielding the most amazing trinkets and the wilful part still
often leads to tears and doubts that the other is even real... I
suppose the most salient feature is that I wake up most mornings
mildly yet pleasantly surprised to still be here and I can't say
       why.
I know exactly where each foot will fall at every step, as soon
as it happens ...and I find that quite delightful.
There are still vast hunks and slabs of mansuit here, that keeps
returning me to the repetitive loop of noticing, focusing and
releasing ... I've almost lost the previously omnipresent,
haunting feeling that something awful is about to happen... and
I like the terrain out here.
But on that topic: so much of the shedding part still hurts but
slipping back into pre-consciousness is the price of abandoning
       that work.
Having said that, though: the universe has arrayed itself
remarkably kindly to assist me in this endeavour, so I also
experience genuine gratitude, often ... albeit mixed with
       occasional bouts of existential Tourette's.

Killing the Buddha, not so much an overt action as a byproduct
of the turning of awareness from outward to in. The buddha just
dies of his own accord. When Jed and I communicate (which isn't
often) it is one to one, no longer teacher student. That just
happens of it's own accord when one tips over from H/A to T/R,
any effort at killing the buddha just belies the fact that one
is not done with that buddha, I tried over and over to kill Jed
while at IGF, I think it started in like my third or fourth post
but that was just ego wanting to "own" it's seeming enlightened
       state, so silly on reflection.
The buddha kills itself, is no longer even a thing when one
becomes the buddha, it's how it works, the idea of "killing the
buddha" is a misnomer, another misstep on the path that will
keep one's mind preoccupied rather than dropping off the cliff
       and into T/R.

       ...yeahhhhh...nah.
What I was kinda wanting to get at was the idea of slagging off
the man for his humanity instead of the fidelity of his
works...like finding fault with Einstein because he picks his
       nose...and not doing that.

Agreed, N, that the works don't give the man a free pass for
squat... just because he's the bringer of the light doesn't make
him fit to carry that torch .... disappointment unbounded, if
what you write about him is true... [emoji15][emoji20]

From here everyone gets a free pass, thats the part that floored
"me" the disillusion of my judgement of others and self and is
part of the freedom here, holding others in your contempt and
judgement is what keeps people from total freedom and keeps them
bound, isn't this obvious at this point? The gulf widens it
seems, the more you double down on your minds judgement the
further you are from T/R. Thats not a judgement of you, it's an
observation of your words and their import as it concerns total
       Understanding.

       ---------------------------------------------------------
"Everyone gets a free pass" in the sense that my software and
Hannibal Lecter's software: our respective morality, ethics and
the DNA, intellect and life experience that, here among the muck
and mire of petty, chemistry 'n whimsy, earthbound existence -
and seen from the safe altitude beyond most of Maya's main
traffic lanes - are composed of the same flimsy nothing of
       dreamfluff... granted.
       But I'm living down here.
And I'm not judging anybody for their choices ... well, hell,
yes I am... but, while this life I seem to be experiencing is
and has been anything but one of lack or privation, I don't live
in a Disney castle on the hill... and furthermore choose to
remain cognisant, through study and genuine interest, of the
fact that >99% of my fellow dream denizens likewise do not dream
the Disney-type dream, but tend more towards Kafka, Huxley...
       and Nessa and her slumdogs.
That's the frame within which whatever movie you're
writing-producing-directing and starring in is being shot... and
we all face the exact same existential conundrum: "what am I
going to do with my time?"
And every single one of us, by the moment to moment choices we
make within the larger uncontrollables we respond to - the way
we trim our sails and upon what we shine our laseresque light of
awareness as we navigate the winds and waters of this infinite
sea of infinite black ... this is what defines each of us as
       humans, being.
There are lots of things I do not know with certainty... so many
that it's always going to be easier to plonk down what I do
       know: diddley-squat.
So, in that sense, my ability to have my assessment of what
constitutes an isolated event, with accurate perception of
beginning and end points neatly wrapped, is always going to be
       ...well, shit.
So in that sense alone does it make prudent sense to refrain
from expending precious life juice judging my fellow travellers
and getting on with whatever it is I feel I'm here to do -
unless in the role of judge, in which case then so be it.
It's my experience that a healthy existence in this state I
find myself is one tempered by a generous level of scepticism
and the will to continuously sharpen a skillset that functions
optimally in circumstances of perennial uncertainty, because
that's all there is. Philosophy, meditation, introspection and
observation have done much here to "keep the mirror clean" and
I'm indebted to the Jedster for his significant role in this.
The works are true and truly channelled. He is a gifted conduit
       of rare fidelity.
But I would drop him stone dead, like a sack of shit, if to what
Nessa seems to allude were accepted here as fact and the dude
were to wander across my path.
"Nothing really matters, life is a dream" is a rarified,
clarified and very possibly misguided extrapolation from the
solipsistic certainty I do have, and which applies in
externalised human practice how much of the Buddhist world
exists and exemplified by N's pix. I saw much the same, albeit
better dressed and comported, in the post-industrial amorality
       during my years in Japan.
As operating assumptions for living a life, they work well,
perhaps, if you really believe that you alone are real and that
only your own wants and needs are of significance- but not
       otherwise.
Knowing what I know, I know that I -that we, as a species - can
do much better. My experience, proclivities, DNA, whatever -
coupled to my certainty that I am and that this is a dream
having led me to this conclusion.
...I'll be a long time dead and the clock is ticking... and
besides, the universe is still kicking me along a path that is
full of wonder and amazement. I don't focus solely on the
shittier aspects, but these eyes are also open to it and have as
part of my works a contribution of sorts to help mitigate the
desperation I see in the world, whose dusty, dirty roads these
feet still walk... sometimes trudge... but never stop, because
that's what this life is: a fucking journey.

"what are you doing with your time"
       Ping!
It is THE question, if there were a question left but "Life"
is... And it could have been left at that but...here in the
hallowed halls of "no u" Insistence pretends to take the form of
squiggly lines that mean something real and serious. I'm game -
when I get some ass time that is.
Say, do you know the EXACT value of "your time" to another? Let
alone "your opinion" of this "time" within another experience. I
know, we are like family so I ask directly brother. Maybe I
should ask more directly. Ehemm. Do you know the value of "your
life purpose"...Here? (Clears throat one more time)... Do YOU
KNOW the exact value of "your very smokable" narrative...To me?
It does rhyme with hero. That is not to devalue it rather
showing where the value truely lies. "Your life" and its purpose
means jack **** over here with as much love as
       possible...😇
It seems, an entire "spiritual journey" has occurred within
your absence. This is just coffee with friends but I'll see if I
can muster something up for the sake of uhhh " making egoic self
prominent" because that is important. ::) I communicate because
       communication And, so -
I no longer "have" an opinion on anything outside of this
singular experience. Don't get me wrong, there are perceptions.
They are not "mine" but with a little nerve I may pick one.
Which one? Hmm this is getting intimate. Of course I pick the
one that feels best. Why? SPOILER ALERT: because everyone does
what feels best to them. That which they think is "authentic."
That which THEY GIVE value to..... Or they are on auto pilot
being spoon feed ****.... But, nevertheless, those deeds and or
actions do not come with with pre ascribed meanings or values.
They "matter" if they do, to one. The one. Honor that. NOTHING
else matters or is accessible any ways.
Live and let die. Never had a say so anyways. And what the world
does "out there" to the truly initiated is less than
inconsequential. Ppl say oh well I've been through a
circumstance or two that lead me here. They have "their
credentials" if your asking for them. Their shackles. I am
uninterested and suspect that Hitler had a clear vision for the
way the world should be too. But I digress and don't fear lack
of Integrity within my loose lifestyle that Nessa keep
projecting err uhhhh... pointing to as a pre caution.
Steve said something about turning awareness inward. I'll say
that you cannot be aware of anything else.
"But I'm living down here" indeed so is Ness. IF humanity
ultimately fails and kills itself off in brutal fashion, I'm
curious what that has to do with you. After all, "living" and
"trying" and "surviving" is hard work... Being is eazy.
       ...
I do not pretend to know what is best for anything else. I just
am. Honed in . And. That is and well..it was a hell of an
attempt at interpereting the infinite aka Mike. A noble gesture
an one that seems to be rooted in integrity. And so, I do
solemnly swear that ....I too will save the world to the exact
degree that it has saved me and that it needs saving... Because
I am nice and..."Purpose"is good fuel for this space craft...
Just kidding. I'll.probably just spend most of "my time" having
sex with beautiful women and listening to good music while
enjoying my own vibes. Don't worry I brought my permission slip
       ;)
PS I do live in the disney mansion on the hill. Because I can.
THATS the **** I'm interested in.

Do you know that gibbons copulate up to 50 times a day with
different females in the tribe? Your idea of 'paradise'? You wll
