Previous Experience as a Staff Member/What You Have Done on ORP:
Previous Experience:
I have been an admin on many servers due to my experience and
knowledge on rule breakers! I have once owned a server called
DAT roleplay until it had to close down because we could not pay
for hosting! Many servers I have been a staff member on has been
surprised with what I am capable of doing and how I deal with
cases. I chose this server because I love Roleplay and I love
roleplaying seriously. This is what a lot of gmod server are
lacking. Roleplay.
What You Have Done on ORP:
I have been on outlast roleplay for a bit now and I have been
introduced to the owner himself and a couple of his staff team.
They have been really friendly and helpful and I would love to
do the same and help out as much as I can on the outlast
roleplay. Hopefully you can see that I can help the server a
lot and also can roleplay superbly. I have roleplayed with the
owner and I could easily say that it was a lot of fun. I had so
much fun, I wish I could do that a lot more.

Do you have a mic (yes/no): Yes and I usually use skype, steam
and teamspeak to communicate.
Why do you wish to be an administrator:
Working with staff members on communities is great! I know a lot
of the commands because I have owned a server before, co-owned.
I have been a Super admin, Head admin, admin, moderator etc...
What will you do to help the community as an administrator:
I can look for add-ons for the server to enhance gameplay and
realism. I will also be on a lot more and with my experience,
help punish all of the rulebreakers on the server to make it a
better environment for the present and future players. If less
rulebreakers come on, hopefully more players would just come and
generally chill with their friends and have a good roleplaying
experience. I know what a realistic server looks like because I
have been on PERP and fearlessRP. So I know what plugins to look
out for and I also know how to seriously RP!
[center]Situations[/center]
An admin starts to abuse his powers in-game, what do you do?:
I will instantly get evidence then send it to a higher rank with
a small explanation on what he was doing it and how it led to
this.
A player on the server starts telling the admins that they will
DDoS the server if they don't give them admin, what do you do?:
I have been in this situation for a long time now. Only 5 people
turn out actually DDOSing, but we know their steam names and we
ban them. If this occurs then you tell them to calm down, if
they do not stop then you take a step further and just mute
them. This determines if they will DDOS or not. If they do then
ban them.
Someone is prop-spamming and the server is lagging too much for
you to remove the props. What do you do?:
There are flags for these kind of things so this will never
happen. Which is a really good thing.
[b]You are the only admin online and a two players called for
you, one regarding an RDM and one regarding a critical prop
spam. What do you do?:[/b]
I would respond to the call regarding prop spam and tell the
other player I will be with them shortly using OOC.
Then I would talk to the player and ask them question like why
did you do this? What would you achieve from doing this? Then
afterwards choose the appropiate punishment.
Player x accuses player y for breaking NLR, the kills are pretty
close together in console (a few lines apart) at a peak time.
You would open the logs and check how close the kills are to
each other. If it says player 'X' killed player 'Y'. Then one
minute later it says player 'Y' killed player 'X'. You can
easily tell that he broke NLR and also RDMed, unless player 'X'
was purposely targeting player 'Y' then it would go along to RDM
route anyway, no matter what.
As I have said this rule is often broke because people think
they can get away with it, which encourages other people to do
it. So if someone was caught breaking NLR, you would warn them
for the simple reason "NLR".
If evidence shows that they killed each other in a small period
of time then it would be NLR and RDM. Not only he broke NLR to
remember who killed him, he also killed him for an invalid
reason. He would be kicked for "Breaking NLR to get his revenge
by RDMing". If he continues to break NLR and RDM's, then it
would be a twelve hour ban for breaking a rule again he was
punished for and also he should read the rules, not matter what
server he is in.
[center]Enforcing the rules:[/center]
Explain "Random Death Match" and give an example scenario.
When a player kills another player for an illogical reason or
for no reason at all. What I mean by that is that someone can
not just kill someone for the sake of it or for an idiotic
reason like "he called me smelly" or "I did it as a joke". All
together RDM is not allowed and it is punishable in different
ways depending of how many people you kill.
You get three types of 'RDM':
First one: Simply just RDM
RDM is just when you kill one or two players for an illogical
reason. This normally results in a warn or a kick, depending if
you was already warned for a different reason. Some people kill
people with an accidental reason, like if they was in their line
of shot and the target moved out of the way and a passer by
walks infront. So you need to be carefull of that. This is less
serious than Mass RDM, which will be talked about in the next
colum below.
Second one: Mass RDM
When you go on a RDMing spree or a rampage. Killing everyone for
no reason and doing it to annoy everyone. Usually trollers come
onto the server and do this to make people rage, maybe record it
on youtube. That is what we need to keep a sharp lookout for.
Third one: Revenge RDM
Revenge RDM is if someone kills you and then you look at who
killed you, returning to that specific player and to kill him.
You should not remember who killed you and you should not kill
him with no reason, this is RDM and also comes under NLR.
Revenge RDM is normally a booked warn on the system.
A couple of Scenarios:
Scenario 1: Going around to random people and killing them for
no legitimate reason.
Scenario 2: Killing someone because of their description or job
title. Then killing them because you think they will kidnap,
harm or kill you. Doing so is also Meta-Gaming. However I will
talk about that more later in my application.
Scenario 3: You was killed by a player so you return to where
you died and kill them to get your vengeance. That is RDM but
also breaking NLR. Which I will talk about next
Explain "New Life Rule" and give an example scenario.
NLR (New Life Rule). If you die, you forget everything from the
"past life". Returning to the place you died in is NLR. You
forget everything you did in your pass life or what you was
going to do. You are in a new boy with a new mind. That includes
what you saw, how you died, where you died etc. NLR counts as
going back to the scene of your death and arguing about why
someone killed you. You can call an Moderator or an admin and we
will help deal with the case. NLR lasts for 5 minutes and after
it has ended, you can return to where you have died.
You can break NLR in a couple of ways:
Returning to your place of death:
If you died then you can not return to your death place, you
should not know where you died so you simply forget about it and
carry on, return after it has been 5 minutes. Breaking this rule
can end with a simple verbal warning or a warning on the system.
Remembering things from your past life:
As explained before, it is knowing how you died, where you died,
who killed you, why they killed you etc. All that should be
forgotten and you carry on as a normal player that has just been
let out to explore the open by himself.
Putting it into real life perspective. If you die, your brain
does not function and you can not do anything. It is like you
never existed. If you was reborn, you would have a new body, a
new life and you would not remember anything. That is just like
In game. If you follow that then you will have no problem with
NLR.
A couple of scenarios:
Scenario 1:
You had a stand off with a foe of yours and you died, so you
returned and killed them to get revenge. That is RDM and NLR.
You broke NLR to return to the player who killed you then RDMed
them for an invalid reason.
Scenario 2: If you died and you simply returned to where you
died.
[center]Why I should be chosen[/center]
I may be only 14 however hopefully I can prove to everyone that
I can make a great aspect to the team as a high rank. I am still
in school but that will not stop me from helping the server our
everyday still. I have been admin on many servers and have not
been demoted once for maturity or abuse. Many servers I have
been a staff member on has been surprised with what I am capable
of doing and how I deal with cases. I chose this server because
I love to Roleplay seriously!
I am a really friendly person all together, I can take a joke
and is really helpful towards the server. I can easily
communicate and become friends with a lot of the community yet I
want to show what more I can do with more commands. Hopefully
you can see that I deserve the rank. If you think I have applied
to early on then I will resend my application later in the week.
