       Winter's Breath
       Winter's breath hath bring
       to me such a cold kiss, not like spring
       The chill in the air is intense
       Winter never brings with it suspense
       As I look at the waste land of cold hard earth
       It reminds me of the land and it's rebirth
       Snow covered trees lay bent over from the weight
       A cold wind blows at heaven's gate
       I shiver from the breeze that cuts like a knife
       I wonder how anything can live or have life
       Winter's breath is freezing cold
       It comes without warning, it is very bold
       You watch the little animals scurry about in search of food
       How does it all work, God's plan for this Winter's mood
       I stand wrapped in a shawl, looking at the moon
       Seeing the landscape by moonlight is beautiful too
       Winter's breath is never easy
       To keep warm, especially when it is strong and breezy
       I step in my cabin, and put another log on the fire
       The waiting game has begun, I can't wait for it to expire
