       and 1,500 million from 2021. This new defense organization cast

       Regardless of how the Pesco develops , the reality is that NATO
       , despite the internal differences that divide it, continues to
       be the most powerful global military structure. At the Wales
       Summit in September 2014, Barack Obama demanded that his
       European partners increase military spending to reach 2% of GDP
       . European governments committed to this increase by 2024, which
       represents an increase of 85,000 million euros, since until then
       they had an average expenditure of 1.5% of GDP8. This would
       significantly increase the military potential of NATO , which in
       2014, among all its members, had a total of 3.4 million military
       personnel.9and together they represented 51% of total world
       military spending, 904 billion dollars.
