PC Repair Chapter 4 Disucssing the Use of False Online
Identities
There are concerns that some users will try to disguise their
identities by entering false information when signing up for a
free e-mail account. In a brief report, (1) summarize the
reasons why you should identify yourself correctly on the
Internet, (2) what kinds of problems result when users disgusie
their identities, and (3) offer some suggestions as how to
prevent this problem. Submit your response below.

You should't because people could find you or start stalking
you.. They could scam people by saying they live in a different
place or something. You should be able to trace their IP adress,
if someone does fraud or scam somebody.

If you don't identify yourself correctly, no one will know who
you are. Someone can harrass you. If they hide their identity
you could block them.

1)i don't believe one should correctly identify oneself on the
internet because is to easy for hackers and other bad people to
steal ones identities. 2) well when people use "fake" emails its
actually probally a real email and someone is actually getting a
lot of junk mail. 3) be care with what information you put out
on the internet.

1) By entering your information correctly you could win a prize
;D or another website might take your information and use it to
send you promotions. Another thing that can be helpful is with
newer web browsers they remember your information so you once
you start typing the first part of your name the rest of the
boxes fill up with youre information. 2) when you use false
information it can send the information to other people which is
annoying. Or it could you or someone else in credit problems. 3)
just put in your information so everyone is happy and if you
dont want to then dont sign up! :o

If you don't identify yourself correctly, your friends won't
know who you are and anyone could came to be you. Sharing your
identification with someone who is hiding theirs isn't good
because they could find you easily by searching your name. I
think it's best to block someone if they hide their identity.

Question 1: I think you should identify yourself correctly
because it allows people to make sure that you are yourself and
no one else so that you are not mistaken to be someone else.
Question 2: Problems that would result in someone disgusing
themself would be that someone else could be looking for the
person disgusing themself and the person they disguse them to be
would be accused because of the disguise of the other person.
Question 3: To prevent the problem you could make suer to put
all of your information on informational websites as private and
don't make your username and password something that could be
easy to figure out. :)
