We have added a link on the homepage to Amazon. The reason is
pretty simple: Every time someone, member or visitor, goes to
Amazon through our shortcut and buys something, we get 15%. That
will be used to pay for the web site which has a monthly fee and
an annual fee that I usually pay out of pocket, though many have
helped out (thanks guys!).
Anyway, if you are going to go buy something on Amazon, go to
Amazon.com through our link and help us support the web site!

Good to know, Dave, thank you.
After our move to Antwerp next week IŽll buy me a Kindle and
that needs "fodder" from Amazon..... ;)

Amazon has potential, but we don't expect a whole lot of action
there. So far we've earned zero cents.

Perhaps there are more attractive ways to present the link. For
my taste it is not jumping into the eye and people might only
click on the links for the few titles listed.
A more prominent placement might help, as well as a simple link
to the Amazon hompage. Something like "Find all the latest
books and movies here..."
Just an idea...

A friend of mine, who lives in Portugal as well, is a learned
historian and orders many books, DVDs etc, via Amazon.com. I
told him to use our link from now on. It does not cost him
anything and brings money into the coffers of HAG. His response
was positive: Roger, affirmative!
