       Hi
Enjoyed the interesting article on Lake Central. :) Was
intrigued by their decision to buy French Aircraft (Nord 262) in
particular an "option" of so many. Wondering what prompted their
decision. Read it was "Designed to replace the DC-3" (good old
Wikipedia) Maybe the sales pitch did the job... ;)
       Thanks

You have to wonder! For half the price you could buy a bigger
Convair 580 on the used plane market. My guess would be he had
the wrong advisor on that one. Maybe LCA was hurting financially
then and only Nord would sell them a plane. At one time they
even ordered a 737, but I think Boeing was taking orders from
everyone, knowing that if someone couldn't come up with the cash
they'd have no problem selling it. I see the same thing today.
737s are such hot sellers, some banks just buy a few and then
later sell the delivery positions at a mark up. Maybe HAG should
buy a 737, then sell the delivery position and use the profit to
pay for the web site for twenty years! ;D ;D

       Hi Dave...
Wasn't aware that the AC sales market was so intriguing....

Your idea, as President and Financial Director namely:

Is a good one....However, I'm aware of there might be some
cheapo Tridents out there.... ;) ;D
       Sorry couldn't resist it....
       Thanks

Tridents are a dime a dozen, and for good reason! Such gas hogs,
like the 727 and 707. Still, we could donate it to a museum,
take the tax credit, inflate the value after a good wax job,
declare a tax loss and invest the dividends in something like
Air North stocks. $4500/share. Whew! ;)

Are you sure you work in aviation and not Wall Street?? ;) As
for the Trident being a "Gas Hog...." Are we 'fliers' here or
       'bean counters?' ;) ;D
