Tristars and kACARS

Hi All...
Someone maybe able to help please? Not sure if this is a
hardware problem...but here goes. When I have set up my
Tristar..with great care I might add... (The one courtesy of
HJG) ...then minimise the screen to complete the required KACARS
fields...and then try to go back to full screen....I get the
'Fatal Error' message from my FSX.. :( ....then nothing (except
the hour glass) and FSX goes to re-boot. Doesn't happen with any
other Aircraft..just this one..Could be the AC I suppose.. :-\
I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem? For the
record...Using Google Chrome...Windows XP...Oh..and why the
multi-coloured Forum page all of a sudden... if it is
intentional? I'm beginning to think my Graphics Card is packing
up ;)
Thanks
Ralphc

The new forum look is me sitting around with too much free time
:D
No idea why the Tristar does that, I don't have FSX. I did have
Google Chrome once, caused too many issues so I got rid of it.

Hi Dave...
Thanks for taking the time to respond...bit of a mystery then
:-\... checked with HJG and they don't know either...Interesting
you mentioned Google Chrome as giving you problems...I use it
purely because IE didn't like the flight booking
process...beginning to wonder if using GC as a 'platform' might
be the issue in this case... ??? I'll check it out to see....
As for "the time on your hands" and the 'Backdrop' for the
Forum...At least I now have a reason....Did think it was my GC!
;)
Best Wishes
Ralphc

Hi There...
Well...reverted to IE to test it...no joy... :( So it's
obviously a problem with my OS (The L1011 is fine)....So it
looks like for these flights.... manually filed PIREPS :( Deep
joy!...
Thanks

You might try using Firefox, I do and have had no problems great
replacement for IE I love it faster to. Just my 2 cents worth.

There's no need for any browser when flying with kACARS. The
client module works standalone.
Even better for the sim when you close all unnecessary programs
that consume lots of RAM (like browsers). FS(9 or X) will run
smoother.
Your problem with the Tristar-kACARS-FSX combination must lie
elsewhere.

:-\ The Q is... where? As said, I'll resort to the manual
method...There must be something in the 'bowels' of FSX and/or
my 'puter that only some software genius can fix.. ;)
Thanks
