Just updated the Flight Reports for the week. If you think I
messed one, let me know. These are as of 10:00 AM Saturday.
Also, added some links on the Resource page to some suggested
scenery. If you come across a product that you feel is worth
posting, send it to me and we'll review it.
Yesterday, just for fun on my lunch break, I flew the default
DC-3 on a training flight. 40% fuel, no passengers or cargo.
Took off, gear up, caged the right engine and feathered it. With
everything trimmed up as neatly as possible, and with maximum
power on the left engine, I managed to squeak out 100 fpm in the
climb, so long as I don't turn. Shallow turning resulted in a
descent. Took me 15-20 minutes just to get high enough to try
the ILS. When you get close to upgrading, you might want to try
some engine-out takeoffs. It'll humble ya! Don't forget,
training flights are not loggable.

We did real single engine takeoffs in the Caribou in the
Army....for training. Just in case you were caught in a combat
situation with a need to get the heck out of there in an injured
airplane.

Check again. Mine shows updated info. Make sure you refresh or
you just see the old page every time.
