CH or Saitek yoke?

I have a Saitek yoke and I don't like it because it is too
sticky on the elevator axis, so I went back to my CH combat
stick.
I know some of you have experience with both yokes and was
wondering how you compare them....i.e. I see both in Jerry
Plott's pics of his sim cockpit.
Also, I see the CH Eclipse yoke has a "floating" elevator shaft.
Does anyone know if it really is non sticky?
Thanks for any input.

Jerry the new CH Yoke is not supposed to stick when working
elevator, that is why I was contemplating getting one. I have
the old CH yoke, pedals and throttle quadrant and I really like
them. I also have a big 22" monitor and man I am in hog heaven.
One thing that would help is the FSUIPC module. This is a must
for flying online (Vatsim) but it helps you smooth out the herky
jerkies with elevator and aileron throws. Check it out here

Thanks Don;
The "sticky" with the Saitek is a mechanical problem built into
the yoke itself...just too stiff for a smooth flare while
landing...for me. That's why I was wondering about the newer CH
eclipse yoke.
I have never purchased Dowson's interface, I will go look at it
more closely...now.
I have tried to fly using VATSIM, and found many of the
controllers to be far removed from real life...and moody, and
not prone to accepting advice on how things really work. It's
been about two years now.
I too have a 22" main monitor and I use my old crt for a second
window for FSC / radios etc. This works very well.
Thanks for your comments,
Jerry A.

As you said, I have the Saitek yoke for my system. I've also
used the CH for a number of years. I prefer the Saitek because
it looks more "real", and it has the throttle quad as part of
the yoke package. The second quad was also fairly inexpensive.
I've found the CH products although good, are much more
expensive.

Thanks to you too Jerry for your comments.
With Christmas coming up I'm trying to decide if I want to give
myself a gift, and if so...what?
Just shopping around on the net and in my head at the monemt.
Thanks to all,
Jerry A. 1010
