       PIREP's and Accepted Flights

       Always wondered....what are the "criterias" used to determine as
       to whether a flight is "Accepted" or "Unaccepted" when a PIREP
       is submitted. Who is actually responsible at HAG in this
       process.
       I never ever see a PIREP being "Not Accepted". Does that mean we
       are all extremely proficient pilots?? ;D ;D ;D

       Dave and myself are doing the approvals for PIREPS although its
       mainly my task, the criteria is simple, ensure you keep to the
       policy of no acceleration for flights under 5 hours, and fuel is
       correct etc,
       Many pilots don't use KACARS, therefore limiting the data we can
       see, but we do look at everybody's PIREP and i have to say HAG
       has some very good pilots. some of the newer pilots i have
       helped out with PIREPS, KACARS or manual
       Is there anything you are seeing that we are missing??

       Hello Bill;
       Ok Bill thank you for the explanation. No....there was nothing
       unusual that I had noticed. I was just curious to know which
       areas of performance you would be focusing on to make it an
       "accepted" flight.
       And yes....Kacars has been known to sometimes be wrong.
       Dave....haha...no problem....I would not want any of my flights
       to be "Accepted" unless they met strict  "Airline Standards". ;)
