Good Morning to all,
I have been active for several days and am enjoying myself here
quite alot. Been around the flight sim since 2002 and have gone
the rounds of a number of VA's with this said I am finding a big
interest in the Historic or Rtro aircaraft and especially enjoy
the way our airline presents the Historic Aircraft. By now I
have flown most everything to a certain degree both on and off
line. The DC3 however seems to be the all time favorite and I
have been logging time in her since 2002 and definitely enjoy
the way you present the scheule here. You see my Dad worked
for North East Airlines in the 1940"s as a mechanic with time in
New York, Boston and Presquile Maine at the time that the
military was calling on the Airlines and civilian crews to fly
materials acrosshe pond with Dc3's. He has now passed on at 91
yrs young but related many of those stories to me. One being
that he worked six months with no day off out in the cold Maine
weather. He also was there when the incident occured which
Ernest Gahn wrote about in "Islland in the Sky"
He worked as a mechanic for American Export Airlines" who flew
the Sikorski VS44 Flying Boats over the pond to The UK. In fact
one of the aircraft "THe Excambian" has been restored and
resides at the New England Air Museum in Winsor Locks Ct.
directly adjacent to Bradley Field.
I am looking forward to moving up the ranks and interact with
others here when the opportunity arises.

Welcome aboard Tom, I think you will enjoy our Virtual Airline.
The way I see it is simply this, we have so many different
aircraft and airlines to fly for that our pilots simply can
never be bored.

Thanks for the warm welcome as I do not work during the summer I
have been getting well aquainted with this fine website and a
good number of flights. As time goes by you will find me on Chat
as well. I found the proper password in the forum and peaked in
briefly one day.

Just think, now you can retrace your Dad's foot steps using the
simulator, and enjoy every moment plus more...
