       The Tupolev Tu-114 Rossiya (NATO reporting name: "Cleat") was
       the most powerful and fastest turboprop aircraft in the world.
       It was developed from the strategic bomber Tupolev Tu-95, which
       had a large payload, range and speed. Therefore, the development
       also took only two years (August 1955). One of the tasks was to
       build in a short time a superior aircraft to demonstrate the
       superiority of the socialist system. The Tupolev design bureau
       were already experienced with the construction of a civilian
       airliner (Tu-104) based on a military aircraft (Tu-16).
