[history] three kittens, specklekit, lizardkit, and indigokit,
were born to two cats from two different clans: phoenixclan and
palisadeclan. these warriors were named firestream and
fadedtail. they were an unlikely couple, but still deeply in
love. they were broken apart, however, when they discovered
there would be little fires and fades running around. now how
would that break them apart? well, fadedtail's mother,
featherslash, had discovered this too, and she was not happy at
all. one very dark and cloudy night, fadedtail met firestream at
the shining stones to show him their precious newborns.
featherslash had followed fade and hid in the bushes until the
hard, pouring rain came. she slipped in, attacked firestream,
and managed to steal one of the half-clan kits and get away
without being identified. fadedtail found firestream in a pool
of blood, and assuming he had been killed, ran away with her two
kittens and depression heavily piercing her heart. she dropped
the two, lizardkit and indigokit, off at phoenixclan and
otterclan, then ran away from the clans. the stolen kit was
specklekit, whom featherslash regrettably brought back to
palisadeclan to be raised the way she wanted. she wouldn't make
any mistakes this time, not like with fadedtail who had
"betrayed" her mother's morals. indigokit was given to a loving
queen with a new batch of kittens, then raised as if she had
been born there in otterclan. the only one who knows this is his
adoptive mother, and fadedtail. lizardkit was also given to a
caring mother, but one who had lost two kittens who were
stillborns.
