       Gore signs with the ...... Colts, not Eagles

       How will you remember the Frank Gore era with the Philadelphia
       Eagles?
       This past weekend Gore reportedly agreed to join the Eagles,
       then just changed his mind. ESPN's Adam Schefter said Gore
       decided instead to sign with the Indianapolis Colts for three
       years at $12 million with $7.5 million guaranteed, which is
       basically the same deal he reportedly agreed to with the Eagles.
       No deals can become official until 4 p.m. ET, so the Colts might
       want to keep a close eye on Gore before then.
       Gore, the San Francisco 49ers' all-time leading rusher, gives
       the Colts some much-needed stability at tailback. Trent
       Richardson didn't work out after a major trade, and Ahmad
       Bradshaw couldn't stay healthy. If Gore still has something left
       heading into his age-32 season (and he did have 1,106 yards and
       a 4.3-yard average last year), it will take some pressure off
       quarterback Andrew Luck, which will be important for the Colts
       going forward.
       The Colts are trying to land plenty of veterans. Outside
       linebacker Trent Cole planned to sign with the Colts, NFL
       Network's Ian Rapoport said (although other reports said the
       deal was not done). Receiver Andre Johnson, cut by the Houston
       Texans, might stay in the division; he's meeting with the Colts
       on Tuesday, according to Schefter.
       Colts general manager Ryan Grigson is on the verge of signing a
       star-studded free-agent class, assuming Gore doesn't change his
       mind again.
