Lorekeeper's Library

I think is due we create a place to research
the Loregy of The World of Perisno.
First off, the definition of Loremaster:
A wise person with knowledge of history, genealogy and ancient
poetry and possibly magic as well.
Using our knowledge of History, of our own world, we bring the
best elements of it, and create one anew.
For that effort, I'm proposing that everyone that is at least
slightly interested in marking Perisno, to create a Lore, and
deposit it here, for the greater good of our Loregy.
selected lore archetypes will be added to the collective, our
hundred scrolls of knowledge, that we must hoard, in order to
add some "meaning" to the world, because no matter how the gold
shines, or how big that one's armor is, it has to mean, it has
to have a meaning, why is that gold so bright? why is that armor
so big? is there many battles? what kind of metal they're using
that they must protect every piece of one's body?
Why is gold so shiny? is there a large depository of Gold veins?
who's fighting for that Gold Mine?
whose that army approuching from the winterlands? I thought that
land was a icy wasteland and now lagions march forth?
Why are all of them wearing heavy plates? could that Winterlands
be a large deposit of minerals? why are they comming to the
Mainland? are they a conquering army? are they a saviour army?
or are they our doom? why all the variety in colours? are they
fighting a civil war? they look very well disciplined, and I
have noted many of their numbers can go anywhere as they please,
are they free-man? their banners look detailed, some have skulls
and some have Golden Fleur de Lis, is there a huge variety of
religions in the Winterlands? maybe that's why they might be
fighting Civil Wars?
Perisno has many forests, and between these forests exists
villages of Redwood Nation, Noldor? Elves? Redwood is legendary,
mighty but time is always changing fast, and many factions are
comming forth geared for battle.
I never seem animals before and all the sudden we must be
careful not have Wild Hound ambushing us almost anywhere in the
Mainland, is that an Animal Plague?
Hakkon, once a mighty empire, purged it's home of all impurity
in the Empire, now they've come to this land, seeking to conquer
it, but they've found naught but challenges.
In the mighty desert, lies the shadowy lands of Perisno, the
powerful clans of the Drahara are united, and ready march in a
conquering tide in all Perisno, claiming all in their paths.
The Rebel Kingdom of Tolrania, now free of the Tyrannical Hakkon
is once again ruled by a vile ruler, will the Rebel-born Faction
once again honor their traditions and overthrow the Tyrant?
And yet, there's a storm, Dragon Banners rise in the North,
these are the mysterious sky-people, the Reich Des Drache,
Dragonborns, they ruled a very distant land, but no one seems to
know what happened, theories has it they overthrew their Dragon
Overlords, and are seeking new lands to conquer, others
foretells they have a looking lands to settle and once again
raise their fabled army and claim their place as righteous
rulers of all Perisno.
Perisno is ripe for the taking, and several crime rings are on
the rise, taking every opportunity, Clans of the Volheere Rise
in the Winterlands, the elusive Desert Rats that once had
marched the entire mainland are rising again, the Hill Vultures
that always been a plague in Perisno are getting organized, the
Savages, the tribes of elves and man are rampaging and raiding,
yet, a legend tells of the reincarnation of the Evil Emperor, a
criminal lord that corrupted perisno and demanded the Crown, he
was unstoppable, with a black mantle of power, and the legendary
artifact called the Black Blade; Slayer of the Living, Master of
Shadows, containing the power of darkness in it's dark metal.
And yet, Guilds rise in the chaos, seeking to make perisno more
liveable in the conflicts, peacekeeper orders mantain the peace
by hunting and cleasing evil, lawless bounty hunter groups are
on the rise, taking whatever they want whenever they can, and
biggest of them all is the Arkenlight Order from the
Winterlands, they are master contraptioners that use all kinds
of weapons and armor to further their goals and profit, they are
known to be fearless warriors, and have proved their superiority
in all perisno as a mighty order of mercenaries, word is they
are recruiting the best captains of perisno for a march, will
they try to conquer Perisno? or are they just a Army-for-hire?
The World of Perisno awaits.
An short example of loregy, I see a big mental work rising, and
I expect it, let's use our imaginations and let it flow.
Now loremasters and lorekeepers, let's do what we do best.

OVERVIEW OF PERISNO (WALL OF TEXT :P)
Perisno Overview:
(Revised Intro)
(Year 365) The land of Perisno is at war, with 7 factions
fighting for control. There is hardly ever peace, and every
faction has their own goals for conquest. Can you build a empire
and claim this land for your own? Can you rule Perisno with your
might?
Factions in Perisno at the moment:
Redwoods Elves (year 321)
Perisno (year unknown) (Player kingdom, not established yet)
Hakkon Empire (year 330)
Tolrania (year 342)
Maccavia (year 346)
Drahara (year 359)
Reich des Drache (year 363)
Unknown seventh faction
Minor Factions
-Volheere Raiders
-More to be announced
(History)
The first settlers of Perisno were the Redwood Elves (In the
year 321). They settled in the woodlands of Perisno and quickly
beat the other inhabitants into submission through military
might and power. There is very little known about the Redwood
Elves and where they got their name. Natives and outsiders soon
learned that the Elves were a force to be reckoned with. If you
faced them in battle, you had to fight or die, because the
Redwoods caught all deserters and executed them brutally.
The year 323 brought something new for Perisno: people seeking
a new home. The Tolranians ran from the oppression of Hakkon.
Hakkon is an island nation far to the east of Perisno and its
leader is King Comrey I, who was a vile and indolent man. He
taxed his people excessively and held lavish feasts daily. Life
was hell for the peasants and minor nobles. One day, a group of
peasants took a risk. During one of King Comrey's feasts they
commandeered a ship and sailed away. They did not know where
they were going but they knew that maybe, just maybe a new life
was out there for them. In the following week, three more ships
were taken by the peasants who now called themselves Tolranians
to sail into the lands beyond the great sea. These peasants
arrived in Perisno and settled down in small villages scattered
throughout the East coast. After five years these peasants had
inhabited the eastern, central, and the northern lands of
Perisno. They became a Monarchy
called the Kingdom of Tolrania.
The year 330 brought a shiver down the spines of the
Tolranians. A fleet of ships had landed on the eastern shores
and these ships were filled with nobles and soldiers from the
Hakkon Empire. Nobles and kngihts alike came to this great vast
land seeking a home. Back home,mKing Comrey was going mad and
his loyal knights had turned Hakkon into ruin and bloodshed. No
longer could it show off its proud cities and illustrious ports.
The tyrant had the kingdom under his grasp and it was getting
harder and harder to make it through the day without fear. The
new Hakkons considered the Tolranians traitors and hostilities
from the two nations began. A few hundred Tolranians joined the
newcomers and by the year 340, they declared themselves a
sovereign nation and were known as the Hakkon Empire.
The Hakkon Empire was prospering and were enjoying the riches
that the land of Perisno had to offer. But the year 342 once
again brought more adventure seekers. This time it was a group
of people from Nisaynia, who landed on Western coasts. They
rapidly moved inward when the constant threats of the Volheere
raiders became to much for the newly settled villages. The year
344 brought the biggest blow to Tolrania's short history. From a
small beginning to an unforseen rise, the Maccavians began
clamining more and more land. The Maccavians have always been in
Perisno (Though they weren’t really noticed by anyone for a long
time), inventing, creating things, raiding, innovating. They
were a rather strange group, who then expanded into a tribe, and
then quickly become a village. Then, they became a prosperous
city and soon a wealthy kingdom of various cultures mixed
together. Their society was always split - there were many
differences and beliefs in their kingdom that led to several
civil wars that grew meaningless and useless for both sides.
When all those doubts were ended, the Maccavian Kingdom grew,
and was set to become a major faction. Maccavians are very
talented with metal and many of their crafts come from metal.
Metal has many purposes in the Maccavia Kingdom, and it is said
that the Maccavian army was the strongest yet in Perisno. Their
army uses heavy armor and almost every soldier wears heavy armor
as if it were their own skin. Maccavians could also be called
the iron men and iron women, and ironeers. Their main trade is
the export of raw metal materials and crafts, horse armor,
infantry weapons, silverworks and others. However, with all
their power, even the Maccavians stayed away from the Redwood
Elves.
More migrations happened. In the year 359 the Drahara Tribes
who had lived in the deserts of Perisno banded together and
declared themselves a nation. Then in the year 363 mysterious
ships once again landed on the shores of Perisno. Nobody knows
where they came from and nobody knew anything about them. Some
inhabitants spread the word that they had spotted dragons in the
skies over the ships. Thousands of armored knights and soldiers
marched off. For days people had emptied off of over thirty
ships. Then they marched for days and stopped. Pretty soon
spies from other nations brought back information that these new
outlanders had rapidly built fortifications and villages. In
under a year they had grown to a alarming size. People were
afraid to confront this mysterious nation, believing the stories
of the dragons even though there were no confirmations or
sightings after they had apparently been first spotted at their
landing site.
(Year 365) Tolrania was tired of fighting a seemingly fruitless
war with the elves and called for a truce. The Hakkon Empire was
thriving, as were the Maccavians.. The Reich des Drache was a
major world power, and the Tribes of Drahara had build a kingdom
in the desert. Perisno became inhabited by six kingdoms and
various minor factions, which meant one thing: WAR!
A ship sets sail with a silhouette showing at the head of the
ship looking into the sunset...
Reich des Drache Lore
Here is the Reich des Drache Lore
Reich des Drache Lore
The Reich des Drache came from a land far away from Perisno. It
is said that real dragons lived in their homeland, or used to.
Their homeland was called the Isle of the Dragon, and reportedly
it was a vast continent, where many strange and exotic creatures
lived. The Reich are a very mysterious group, and almost nothing
at all other than where they came from is known about them. They
arrived at Perisno in the year 363, and it was clear that their
intentions was not to trade, but to conquer. They brought a huge
armada with them, deploying thousands of soldiers into Perisnoan
soil. They quickly colonized some native cities and changed them
into large, industrial metropolises. They also built fortresses
and fortifications of tremendous size in what was soon "their
territory" and soldiers patrolled the borders regularly. All the
other factions were wary of this new threat, and were afraid to
act. They had heard reports from their spies that real dragons
accompanied the Reich, although this fact is still disputed, for
the Reich have yet to reveal them. The Dragon Priests of the
Reich spread across Perisno, preaching their faith to all. It is
said that the leader of the Dragon Priests wants to be king,
although he needs more men to help him.
Draches Military, Government, and Claimant:
The Reich have a strong military, composed of infantry,
spearmen, and heavy cavalry. It is rumored that their noble
troops ride real dragons. They are a disciplined force that will
not run, under any circumstances. The government is a monarchy,
and their mysterious emperor rules through divine right. He says
that the dragon gods have proclaimed him king, and it is his
right to rule the world under the gods. His right hand men is
the mysterious High Priest of the Dragon. It is rumored that the
High Priest is plotting to overthrow the emperor who he thinks
is unworthy. He is looking for a capable mercenary or adventurer
to help him.
Tolrania Faction Lore:
The Tolranians escaped from the tyranny of the Old
Hakkon Empire years ago. They remained haunted by their
experiences in Hakkon, but the leaders are determined to start a
new life in Perisno.
From the journal of Captain Otto Waveshore:
Day 1:
We have fled from Hakkon, deciding that enough is enough. We
will start a new life somewhere else, in a place far from
Hakkon. Far enough for them to never be able to find us. We have
begun to set sail, a motley bunch of men leaving on stolen
ships, given to us by our good friend Admiral Themistocles. He
will be punished for what he has done, but he knew the risks, as
we all did. As I look upon the endless sea, I fear that most of
us will not live to see the mainland.
Day Unknown:
I have lost track of how many days we have been at sea. It feels
like forever since Day 1. Half of our ships have sunk, either to
marauding pirates or to large sea monsters or to large storms
in the ocean. Every day, our crew pray to Priapus, our God of
Sailers.
Day Unknown:
It is unbelievable. We have caught sight of the mainland at
last! Our men are settling down in this new, lush land, which we
name the land of Perisno. We have not met any natives and no
sign of life is seen at all! I worry that our generations will
not live on. My health is failing, and I think this will be my
last entry.
- Captain Otto Waveshore
Tolrania was founded in the year 323. They are a Republic,
vowing that they would be different from the Hakkon Empire. They
prospered for seven years in this new land, free of the tyranny
of Hakkon and King Comrey. They made trade with the Maccavians
and thrived. The population quadrupled in those years, and soon
Tolrania expanded. In year 330, something unexpected happened:
the Hakkons followed the into Perisno.
At first, there was shock from the Tolranians, then there was
anger. The, there was despair as the Tolranians found out how
big the Hakkon fleet was.
Apparently, these were knights and nobles also dissatisfied with
King Comrey, and had set out to a new world. Almost every
Tolranian there were second generation, and few of the first
generation were still alive. However, their fathers told them of
the horrors in Hakkon.
They decided to turn to the local Redwood Elves for help. The
Elven Archers were a mercenary company, and they were hired by
Tolrania to do battle against Hakkon. In a famous battle, the
Tolranians routed the Hakkon army.
Hakkon was not defeated, but they needed time to rebuild their
armies. The people of Tolrania rejoiced after this, and they
continued to thrive.
Near the woods of Tolrania, an outlaw group began to form. The
outlaws called the Tolranian government corrupt and disorderly.
They said that the name "Republic" itself was hypocritical. The
government ruled like a kingdom, and the other factions
acknowledged this. Tolrania was given the name of The Kingdom of
Tolrania by other factions, and soon it was only the Tolranians
who called themselves a Republic.
The outlaws, led by an enigmatic man named Nibor (Robin
backwards) Hood, became a large organization that were
constantly a thorn to the Tolranian's side.
Tolranian Government and Info:
Tolrania is ruled by a King, after abandoning the idea of a
republic. They have a strong military, and their Kingsmen are
the envy of the world. Their military is diverse, with horse
archers, foot archers, and infantry. Most of their military are
peasants recruited from villages. They rely on their top tier
noble troops for heavy cavalry. Outlaws roam the forests of
Tolrania, and their lords are usually too lazy to stop them. It
is up to you to either unite Tolrania or to destroy
it.
Maccavia Lore by Darkgenius
Maccavia is a free cosmopolitan realm, governed by a
Dictator Monarch and a Senate of Nobles and free man, Maccavia
is a faction of nobles, knights, religious people, diplomats and
rich merchants, Maccavia was once a kingdom of northmen,
sailors, pirates, but at a turn of fate, they settled in the
winterlands, they conquered and they have prospered for many
years, every men were the lord of their destiny, free to rule
their life as they would like, as long they the paid taxes,
lived orderly and obeyed the laws of the republic, and worked
towards progress, Maccavia is split religiously;
The New Gods value; chivalry, love, duty, benevolence, family,
order, grace and kindess.
The Old Gods value; war, honor, strength, ambition, domination,
secrets and plots.
Many of the Maccavian Republic Nobles are followers of the
faiths and Gods, many of the Old Gods are warmongering nobles,
bent on raiding, conquering and fighting and demanding strenght
from their allies, loyal they are loyal hounds of the Maccavian
Republic Dictator, and on the otherside are the Noble Knights,
followers of the new faith and Gods, they prefer to prosper and
grow rich, showing kindness and grace, most nobles have it a
strong disregard for followers of a different faith, specially
the Maccavian Nobles that follow that Old Gods, they see them as
savages in opulent clothing, while the nobles of the old Gods
see the Nobles of the new Gods as "just weaklings", and that
brawl has been destroying the Republic, both evil and good mixed
in a common goal.
The Maccavian Army is yet one of best armored and armed in
Perisno, with curious concraptions, heavy weapon training, every
citizen of the Maccavian republic is taught how to use weapons,
how to ride a horse, how to read, how to create tactics, their
martial training is yet without equal, many of the Maccavian
Soldiers are followers of the Old Gods, but not many of them
rise through military ranks, because most of them die in battle,
while followers of the New Gods seem to rise quickly but not as
strong as a Old Gods Follower.
Maccavian Army is split in division of specialties, those who
show a promising skill in a certain field of technique goes to
that respective division, those who show aptitude and
perception, go to the Crossbow Division, while those who show
strength go to the Sword Division or the Spear Division and the
Knight Division. And all Maccavian military are trained in the
use of Heavy armor.
Marskmen of the Crossbow Division; Maccavian Crossbowman knows
how to throw an axe and are very skilled at range, they have the
iconic axe-crossbow (Normal variant), that not only shoots bolts
with absurd accurancy, pierces through heavy armor like butter,
yet it works a heavy melee weapon that can be used to break
shields, heads or horses. With enough training and skill, but
are weak when facing close-combat encounters, they can survive a
melee fight, but their specialty is ranged combat.
Maccavian Crossbowman can become TOP TIER: Maccavian Marksmen
which is yet the best trained crossbows in Perisno, they carry
the axe-crossbow (siege variant) and thrownable axes, and they
have a better armor, thus making them better at melee.
Swordsmen of the Sword Division; Maccavian Swordsman are skilled
dagger throwers and great at close-combat, they can slice
through any unarmored enemies with ease, they have a round
shield for quick movements in battle and their Longsword, but
are terrible weak when combating horsemen, but you're better not
fall of the horse.
Maccavian Swordsmen with enough training and skill can become
TOP TIER: Maccavian Swordsmasters who carry a terrible greatword
that can slice elephant, camels and people, yet they carry their
longswords and throwable daggers for range/close combat.
Spearmen of Spear Division: Maccavian Spearmen are exeptional at
throwing spears and tactically adaptable, nor horse or camel can
charge through the Maccavian Phalanx, ranged enemy infantry is
killed easily as well infantry, they carry a pike, a shortsword
and throwable spears, no shields, for quicky positioning and
defence, but that makes them heavily at disvantage when fighting
long-ranged enemies and if they do not brace their spears for
combat mounted infantry, they're a easily pickings, but do not
understimate them, they can still throw spears and use their
shortswords.
Maccavian Spearmen can become TOP-TIER Maccavian Halberdier,
that carries a Halberdier that can kill anything that is mounted
easily, they still carry thrownable spears, and the shortsword,
they have a much better armor that can protect them from ranged
attacks.
All Maccavian TOP TIER units use heraldic heavy plate armors,
while the normal tier uses non-heraldic heavy plate armor.
And last, there is the Knights of the Maccavian Republic,
mini-nobles, with lands and titles.
Maccavian Squires are sons of nobles, they are trained since
childhood in all division martial arts, they are very educated
and devout followers of the Faiths and Gods. And so the result
are very expensive units, with very good training they can
become Maccavian Knights.
As Maccavia is split religiously, it would be a shame to just
create one branch of Knights, so, I'm expanding it.
Maccavian Squires of the Old Gods can become Maccavian Black
Knights, while Maccavian Squires of the New Gods can become
Maccavian Knights of Steel.
Knights of steel are very valorous and powerful units, they use
Greatswords as backup, longsword, shield and a Lance, a
Maccavian bred armored white stallion as mount. Steel Heavy
Plate Armor.
Black Knights are very strong and powerful units, not only they
use a Greataxe as backup but they carry the Axe-crossbow (Normal
variant), and a Longsword, a Maccavian bred armored Black
Stallion as mount.
Now we go to Politics in the Maccavian Republic: King Agathor
Krex is the dictator of Republic, while he desires to have full
control of the Republic backed by his loyal hound followers of
the old Gods, the new Gods followers seem to dislike him and try
to sabote every attempt he makes, but none openly challenge his
rule, but most would certainly follow a New God claimant.
Naming:
in that case I choose the roleplaying strenght of it;
Followers of the Old Gods often choose Nordic names such as:
Noble Fenris Stone-Heart, Noble Singvar the Gilded, Noble
Segrefied Broken-Shield.
Followers of the New Gods choose more empire/fantasy minded
names such as: Noble Falcus Frost, Noble Dracchos Dignity, Noble
Tytus Rex, Noble Benunius
Benevolent.
Maccavian Current Situation by me
Maccavia Current Situation:
It is the year 365, and Maccavia stands on the brink of civil
war. The followers of the two religions - The New Gods and Old
Gods - are at a standstill. Neither of them are going to budge
and let the rival religion take control of Maccavia. The King,
Agathor Rex, supports the Old Gods vigorously and is disgusted
by this new, "chivalric" religion. As the republic of Maccavia
fights each other, they are very readily sealing their doom and
the other kingdoms watch with glee as the civil war approaches.
On one side are the lords: Jormungandr Lokison, Rongundr
Reistrson, Stonehelm Firebreather, Sigmund Olafsson, Thorgil
Axebreaker, Valgard Icebeater, Ragnor Odinson and Volund
Thunderdancer
On the other side, supporting the New Gods, are the lords: Omer
Seer, Falcus Licinius, Crassus Varus, Publius Marcus, Augustus
Rex, Atticus Rex, and Gaius Rex and the King, Agathor Rex
Will you be able to unite Maccavia? Or will you be the one to
cast it down? Will you decide to support the Old Gods or the New
Gods? The choice is yours.

Drahara Lore
The Draharans have always been in Perisno, and are a
loosely united confederation of desert tribes. They have never
really cared about the western world, which they call the
"Ghareeb." They are a reclusive nation, staying in their
deserts, never daring to venture more than a few miles into the
lands without desert. They are a hardy people, able to live in
that harshest environments. Most tribes are nomadic, but some of
the bigger tribes have settled in cities near water and
resources. The Draharans are also religious, believing in
spirits and gods. Throughout the Draharan desert, ancient
shrines and majestic temples can be found dedicated to their
gods. Drahara is a term used for an entire ethnic group of
people, and many tribesmen find it offensive to be called
Draharan instead of their respective clan or tribe name. It has
been like that for hundreds of years, but around the year 354,
everything changed.
A man with no name walked into the capital city of the
largest Draharan tribe, and proclaimed himself a man sent by the
gods. He could work wonders and perform miracles, and soon many
people followed him. He said that he dreamed of a day when the
Draharans ruled Perisno, when all the unworthy Ghareebians of
the West bowed under their rule. He was so mesmerizing and his
voice so powerful that everyone who heard him believed him and
pledged their allegiance to him. Soon, after five years, all the
Draharan tribes had united under this man, and their armies were
ready to march. First, he immediately used the military to wipe
out every single bandit party in the desert that they could
find. Every desert rat and vulture that robbed other men were
found and executed under this man's order. Drahara soon became
free of such men, but it is rumored they are still hiding in
reclusive corners, waiting for revenge. This unnamed man
continued to assert his dominance, and trained an elite guard of
camel riders for himself. He had the tribe of elephant riders
pledge their allegiance to him as well, and also the infamous
Desert Assassins. By the year 365, the Draharans were ready to
march for war.
Draharan government, military, and claimant:
Under their new mysterious ruler, Drahara became a
confederation. Every lord had his personal army but all fought
for one cause: the conquest of the west. However, there were a
few people that doubted this mysterious new man, and openly
proclaimed it. The strongest man against this new ruler was
named Baibars. He voiced his protests against this new ruler of
Drahara, saying that he had no right to rule. He was cast out
and shunned, but remains alive, waiting for someone to help him.
He now goes from kingdom to kingdom, trying to find support.
The Draharan military is simple: they have archers, spearmen,
and cavalry. They do not wear very heavy armor, however, because
of the hotness of the desert. The Draharans have a simple
military all around, but many of their lords have household
troops that belong to their own clan.
It is the year 365, and things are not looking well for the
west. Will you stand with Drahara and conquer the other
factions, or will you oppose them and crush them instead? Or
will you help their claimant? The choice is up to you.

Hakkon Lore
The people of Hakkon originated from an island far
from Perisno. In the year -542BE (Before the Enlightment),
tribesmen and sailors rowed from their mainland to the island of
Hakkon. From then, the road began to pave for a mighty empire,
the Hakkon Empire. In a few centuries, the Hakkons rose from a
small island nation to a superpower in their world. They
revolutionized sailing technology, and rumor had it that their
navy was so great and had such survivability that they could
sail the entire world and not one would sink. Hakkon quickly
dominated other small island tribes around them, and set about
colonizing the mainland. Many of their efforts failed, and
around the year 315, Hakkon was on the verge of collapse.
Pestilence, corruption and war had taken its toll on the once
great Hakkon Empire.
In the year 322, King Comrey II was crowned King of Hakkon.
He was a lazy, indolent man who cared for nothing but food,
wine, and women. He was nothing like his father, King Comrey I,
who was a great man and helped rebuild much of Hakkon after its
economic downfall. King Comrey II held lavish feasts in his
palace almost daily, and the only times he didn't hold them were
the times he was too drunk to do anything. Throughout the
kingdom, the people murmured and voiced their disgust of their
new creature of a King. In the year 323, six months after
Comrey II was crowned, the people had had enough. Admiral
Themistocles, a powerful and wealthy man arranged the escape of
four ships that would sail into a new land to settle. He himself
was a seasoned veteran of many battles, but chose to stay even
though his people begged him to go. He vowed he would continue
helping the people against their new tyrant. In the year 323,
the men were ready to sail, and all of them left with high hopes
of a new life in a new world.
By the year 329, King Comrey II was still on the throne, but
he was so fat and lazy by now that his ministers had taken over
ruling the kingdom for him until a more suitable heir could be
selected. The Hakkon Empire continued to crumble, and many of
their nobles were anxious to leave. A large fleet of Hakkon
nobles and soldiers left the island and went in the footsteps of
the Tolranians in search of a new world. By the year 330, they
had arrived in Perisno and immediately began colonizing it. They
called themselves the Hakkon Empire, and called the one they had
come from the Old Hakkon Empire.
For many years, the Hakkon Empire grew in size and
prosperity. They frequently fought with the Tolranians, and even
though they lost many battles, they were powerful and could
rebuild quickly and efficiently.
Hakkon Government:
The Hakkon Empire is a monarchy, and their current king is King
Hakkon II "The Great," named after the Hakkons of old. They are
an efficient government, having access to many trade routes and
natural resources. Their military is solid all around, and
fields a variety of units. They have heavy cavalry, heavy
infantry, spearmen, and crossbowmen.
In the year 350, trouble arouse after King Hakkon IV's death.
He left no successor, and now Hakkon nobles were fighting each
other in a heated civil war. The rest of the world only watched
the conflict, no one making a move to interfere. The two sides
were the Hammeriron family and the Hakkon family. Ultimately,
the Hakkon family won after many bloody battles, and King Hakkon
III was crowned. However, the Hammeriron leader, Mjolnir, is
still alive and looking for revenge. Trouble once again came to
the Hakkons in the year 355. New raiders, called the Volheere
raiders, migrated to Perisno near Hakkon lands and began to loot
and kill anyone in their way. By the year 362, they became a
very large threat. The Hakkons still have not managed to deal
with them yet.
In the year 363, a mysterious group called the Reich des
Drache sailed to Perisno. Now, it is up to you to decide the
fate of the Hakkon Empire. Will you help them become strong, or
will you cause them to fall? Will you help the Hammeriron family
to become the true Hakkon rulers? The choice is up to you.

IDEA
By: Something unusual Date: August 15, 2013, 5:15 pm
---------------------------------------------------------
I also present to you my own idea .... The Imperial Klyrintin
Empire. These guys could be a minor faction and an invasion
event later on (what I mean by invasion event is many lords of
that faction (10+) come and invade Perisno. This has been done
in Native Expansion with the Dark Knights and I think in Sword
of Damocles for Mount and Blade) They could be put in a later
version if you like the idea.
The Klyrintin Empire
The Klyrintin Empire is an empire from an island near Perisno.
They are sailors, explorers, astronomers, scientists, and
philosophers. They are fascinated with Perisno, thinking that
there was no way that this much blood could be shed for one
piece of land. Their ruler, Emperor Zhenghe, decided to put an
end to all of this foolishness. He is plotting a full-scale
invasion of Perisno and his men will come as "peacemakers." He
believes that his Imperial army will easily crush the Perisnoans
and all of their inhabitants. His invasion is almost ready, and
he will invade in the middle of the year 365 (so around 180 days
for the player in game). He first sends in scouting forces and
spies - you could implement this by putting "Klyrintin Spies" in
taverns who question you and stuff and if you do good you gain
relations with them. The military forces could be implemented by
adding large groups of "Klyrintin Military Peacemakers" near the
coastal regions of Perisno.
Military and Government (no claimant): The Klyrintin Empire has
a vast army, and their soldiers are disciplined They have a wide
assortment of troops ranging from spearmen to heavy cavalry. A
commonly used tactic by them is to use horse archers to bait the
enemy and then trap them with infantry and heavy cavalry. They
are a force to be reckoned with.
By the way, the Imperial names go so far for in
Maccavia, most use Fantasy surnames as well, like: Falcus Frost,
Dracchos Dignity, Benunuius Benevolence, specially new Gods
worshippers. Because the Gods use Imperial Names:
Example;
Commodus, patron of Family and Duty.
We must create names accordly.
But not a critic, they look cool the way they are suggested.
Good job! you're doing a great work here, have you considering
joining the team?

Anyway let's edit this post to make it contain something about
Perisno lore as well :D
Minor Faction Volheere Raiders Lore:
The Volheere raiders came from the continent of Nisaynia, which
is near Perisno. They are a hard people, having to live through
the harsh winter climates of their continent. Somehow, they
survive through it yearly, but the past decade has been
particularly rough to them. They believe that their god, Woden,
has forsaken them and they are no longer worthy people. They
decided that they are not "holy" enough to live on the land of
Nisaynia, where their gods roam. The entire Volheere people
sailed away, and happened to come to Perisno. They landed on the
coasts [someone really needs to draw a Perisno map for reference
once it is done :D ] and sacked everything they could find.
Since then, they have established themselves as a minor power in
Perisno. Their berserkers are a feared group, and the leader,
Úlfhéðnar, is a formidable man. It will take a strong hero to
defeat the Volheere raiders and wipe them off the face of the
earth.

I suppose so, we'll have to take it to the Da bigga Boss Mich.
But you're as good as on the team already.
Let's refrain from writing too much randomics here, this is da
librehry. Where we work our minds. Do you have any more lore?
don't be afraid to write, all here is considered and given
deserved attention by the co-dev.
Which in that case, happens 2 be me ;)
But don't think much... so much "Knowledge Creating Inducing"
is... MADDENING ::) ???

It is a good thing we have this, because i just tried updating
the lore of the TW forum, and it wont let me make a post with
more the 40,000 characters. Anyway, i'll post a link to this
Forum, if people want to dig deeper into the world of Perisno. I
cannot ask for a board on the forum till we have at least 15
pages anyway...

There's only one thing we can do I suppose ... SPAM THE TOPIC TO
15 PAGES ... no, I'm just kidding.
Dark, here's what I think about it: [quote author=Darkgenius

[li]What does Hakkon think of Drahara?
I would imagine they are neutral, but wary of each other. Hakkon
sees only savages in the Draharans, while the Draharans see
uncivilized people in the Hakkonese.
What does Drahara Think of the Reich?
Drahara is wary of the Reich.
Does the Reich fear the Hakkon Empire?
The Reich fears no one, and thinks all beings who do not worship
the Dragon Gods are inferior.
Does the idea of Freedom for all in the Maccavian Republic
affect the minds of the Subjects of other Kingdoms enslaved by
their rulers and dictators?
Not sure about this one
What was the reaction of the Tolranian Sovereign to know that
King Comrey and his Hakkon minions settled in Perisno?
They were scared at first, then determined to fight back - and
win.
Which religion is the strongest? does religion dictate the
actions of the Factions? will the Reich Dragon faith Priests
charge against the Maccavian Phalanx traditional Old Gods and
New Gods?
I suppose each religion's followers thinks theirs is the
strongest. Religion dictates the Reich's actions.
The Maccavian Republic is a very powerful Faction in terms of
military and ideas, does other factions see them as a threat?
Every faction is seen as a threat to each other, so yes.
What does Redwood think about these "Invading man" ?
They prefer to let them squabble over each other and do not care
much for them.
Which Factions are allied?
Tolrania and the Redwoods are mutual allies against Hakkon.
Drahara and the Reich are allied to no one. Maccavia and Hakkon
are trade partners.
Which faction hates each other?
How will a United Maccavian Republic affect the world Perisno?
Will them free them? or try to conquer them?
Everyone will be against each other probably
Is the Reich des Drache prepared for a Perisno Conquest?
Yes, they have the manpower to do it, but just not the
initiative.
Will Drahara drive out the Invading Hakkons in their lands?
Most likely.
Will the Tolrania Sovereign help Draharan Clans force Hakkon
Empire out of their lands?
We'll see how that turns out.
Legends tells about the return of the Evil Emperor that ruled
Perisno long ago with the Black Blade (Dark Path Players)
Yes, the player can follow the Dark Path and try to conquer
Perisno (hard though, as every faction will be at war with you
and absolutely no peace

Wow, that felt like an interview ;)
