Re: not so free-dom (open, rainy night, abandoned warehouse)

Lya frowned and rubbed her head slightly. Issyahs reaction to
her voice was not something usual, and should have caught her
off guard, but she didn't seem to be processing what she had
just done.
As for questions she certainly had several. She frowned as she
looked at the screen. "Well who are you and why are you doing
this kind of go without saying. How did you manage to catch all
these individuals...I'm sure some of them should be a challenge
at least.". She asked mostly referring to Ego and Vandel. Her
blood colored eyes flicked around the scene behind the glass
again. "Are you letting those not selected go?". The intention
behind her question was clear without saying it. Let Ego go and
where is Vandel.

Myra blinked a few times. Well that was certainly unpleasant.
She never realized how dull being a piece of furnature was until
now. She felt bad for all the tables and chairs in the furnature
department at stores.
After this fleeting thought, she looked at the figure on the
screen, then over to Lya. Probably best to let her field the
questions on this one. They were good ones and she was
interested to hear how the figure would respond.

The chibi jumped around happily and clapped his hands. he was as
giddy as an imp with its first soul to torture "I like your
questions...although most I cannot answer" the chibi stopped
hopping around and the devil mask focused on her "...for I am
not the one in control. I am a simple program, a tool, servant,
slave....you choose since I've never had a choice. I can answer
one question....those who've lived, will die.....just not by our
hands" The chibi began to jump around again "from the first slap
and cry you all start to die" he rattled off over and over as he
jumped around.

Lyas eyes narrowed at the response from the devil on the screen.
"What do you mean the rest will die but not by your hands. Why
aren't they just being let free.". As it jumped around rhyming
those terrible rhymes it quickly reminded her of the voices in
her head the last few days. It was a similar forboding kind of
rhyme. She was just a few inches from the glass now.

"oh calm down will you. for someone considered smart you're
quite dumb" the chibi stopped dancing and looked at her "oh
never mind. they will be freed just as promised and no harm will
come to them"

Lya glared at the insult directed at her. She was quite sure
both she and the program knew she wasn't thinking the
straightest. Her unnatural calming had given the air that her
head was clearer. But fully rational? Not a chance. The words
of the rhyme finally began to set in and she pinched the bridge
of her nose. "Of course...". She muttered under her breath,
cursing the little devil in her head.
The tiniest amount of tension fell away from Lyas shoulders at
the chibis final statement and her own realization. Fine...They
would be safe. That didn't mean she didn't have other
questions. "So who is actually pulling the strings behind this
elaborate set up."

Myra thought for a moment before speaking up. "What's the real
reason you were created?" Myra asked this while crossing her
arms and leaning against the wall casually.

" A real psycho" the program says answering Lya question. " and
he loooooves having control. as for your question Myra, I am an
AI and my purpose is the management of technological systems."

Lya frowned at the program at it's response. "A real psycho
infatuated with control I could have guessed, but that doesn't
give me a name. Is there a reason he won't show himself?"

the program sighs " He is called Liberty, befitting no? and I
believe the suspense of not knowing is sort of a thrill for him.
personally this kind of thing wasn't in my original programming"
