a ding rang through the air and both doors opened.
"well there ya go" Issyah says and walks through the doors.
the next room was an observance room. A glass wall in front of
them and two doors to both sides. the room looked into a much
larger room. And in the large room were two glass tanks filling
with water. A man wearing a business suit stood in the tank to
the left and a man wearing jeans and a white t shirt stood in
the tank to the right.
the glass lights up like a computer screen. words begin to
appear closest to the man in the suit
Anderson Carmichael:
Born here in the city, graduated top of his class, has two
kids(boys) and a wife. little known fact, Anderson Carmichael is
the corporate monster who has destroyed the business in the
Alleys Warehouse District which caused thousands in the Alley to
go homeless. Why did he do this you ask? Because of money of
course. You see, Anderson Carmichael makes well enough to care
for his family and ten other families but greed is something
else. A general from the patriots came to Anderson with a
proposal..."destroy lives, gain riches"
the glass in front of the man on the right lights up with words
Owen Green:
Also born here in the city, four kids, divorced. Owen here was a
warehouse worker for 20 years until he was laid off due to
Anderson. Because of the lay off; Owens wife left him. And to
add the icing to the cake, one of Owens children has a terminal
disease. There is a solution but it cost money...money that Owen
doesn't have but he somehow is covering the cost. How? little
known fact: Owen traffics children and women from the Alley. His
biggest client....The patriot Laboratories.
Anderson, Owen, and Vandels names appear as buttons on window.
"choose who dies..."

"I honestly didn't expect getting in here to be so easy....".
She muttered under her breath as she followed Issyah into the
room.
As their surroundings came into focus a knot formed at the pit
of her stomach. She made her way quickly to the glass, crimson
eyes quickly darting around looking for weak points. As the
words came onto the screen, she quickly took them in, her
stomach sinking further.
The final options appeared and her breath caught in her throat.
She nearly dropped the phone she was holding. Why was Vandel's
name there and why would this person have the choose the values
of these peoples lives. "What do you mean choose who dies?!
What the hell kind of sick joke is this?!". She screamed to the
glass. She would have pounded on the glass, except for the fear
of setting off any of the buttons. What was this guy's problem.
Why should a person's life be left in their hands. They didn't
know much about these people. Sure the two didn't sound like
upstanding citizens....But did their crimes merit them death?
By her whim? Lya had blood on her hands....Other deaths on her
soul.....but...
Her mind was racing she looked between the buttons and the faces
of the men in the tanks, her own facade crumbling away. How did
Vandel get caught up in this. Well that was a dumb
question....She'd known something was wrong...With her. It had
been following her, and she knew it. She had also dragged Myra
and Issyah into it. Frightened eyes stared back at her from her
reflection, before she shook her head and bit her lip in an
attempt to steel herself.

Yes!" Myra shouted as the doors opened.
She walked cheerfully in behind the other two.
In the observation room, she read the text on the glass to
herself and placed a finger to her mouth in thought.
Then in a cheerful tone not reflected in her facial expression,
she asked "Who's the 3rd one?"

Issyah wanted to know too. "I feel like we're not here for what
you originally said"

Lya frowned and looked down at the ground. She let out a deep
sigh and turned her crimson eyes to the two of them. "Vandel's
a friend...Well he's more than that to me. He was a test
subject of the Patriots. He made a good test subject for
weapons with his abilities. He's hard to kill. I helped get
him out a while back. I come here because I had a message sent
to me showing me he was in danger."

Issyah looked at the tanks who were almost half full. "So if
he's hard to kill, then we should just pick him right? Either
way, i dont like this...."

Lyas eyes went wide for a moment, before she started shaking her
head violently. "I said hard to kill. I don't know for sure
he's unkillable. I'm sure they have something they could do it
with.". She bit her lip as she looked back to the tanks, visibly
shaking. "I don't like this either but I also can't kill
Vandal.". The words that had followed her the last few days
whenever she was alone rolled back through her mind like a
broken record.

"Then I guess it's up to whereyour morals lie." Myra said this
while facing the other wall. She said it more or less the way
she said everything; in a carefree manner, but something in her
tone was slightly different than before.
"...or we could just forget the whole thing and leave." This she
said in her usual tone.

"well then what do we do!?" Issyah accidentally shouted. He
wasn't used to this sort of thing. As Myra put it out that they
could just leave, he gave it a thought. technically this wasn't
his problem....and if he could leave maybe he could get help
from his brother or dark. "maybe...maybe leaving is a good
option" he says half heartedly. he averts his eyes to keep from
looking at the two helpless men.
-a text comes in-
I'm pretty sure you know what happens if they leave right?
