The White Rabbit (Night, light rain, open)

The days rain has lightened to just a momentary light shower. As
night falls the downtown area begins to ready itself for the
night time activities, bars, restaurants and clubs open up.
Situated in the middle of downtown is The White Rabbit, a semi
famous restaurant owned by Alice Milton.
Currently the staff were preparing to open for the night crowd,
standing just outside the door was a man with spiky blue hair.
His gray eyes search up and down the street "If he's smart he
won't come Ace." Alice states from behind him, her purple locks
pulled up into a braided bun. "He'll come, after all you don't
run them off until the third day." he states, adjusting the
white tie he wore. His uniform consisted of a black vest, dark
red button up and black slacks. "I assume he'll be under my
department."
Alice frowns and turns away "He's one of Asae's little friends
so you already know the score. Don't be out here long, The other
section heads have a meeting in the basement before opening."
she finishes and walks off.

"Okay, it should be here somewhere. White Rabbit, ... hmmm..."
Div had gotten to his apartment earlier and found the uniform in
a garment bag on his door. Upon trying it on, he had to admit
he looked pretty good. He briefly wondered though how they'd
gotten his measurements. He'd have to ask about that later.
Lights glistened all around him, reflecting off of the still wet
streets from the rain earlier that day. Div looked from his
phone to signs on various establishments.
He'd not often been to this part of town. Doing so would assume
that you had enough income to even fathom the idea of even
stepping foot here. That, or working. Based on what the woman
from before said to him, that would kind of be both now. At
least he thought it would anyway. A glass of water at this place
was probably 10 dollars alone.
Finally, he spotted it. He checked his watch. The note on his
uniform said 6:30. Good, he was right on time... although at a
place like this, that probably meant he was already late. He
picked up his pace.
Upon reaching the man at the door, he spoke. "Hi, I'm Div Stark.
Alice sent me." He tried to hide the fact that he was a bit out
of breath as he'd jogged the last block.

"Ah well welcome to The White Rabbit. I'm Ace Milton." he said,
stepping aside to let the other man in. "I'm the male head of
the hosts section. I'll show you to the staff room since we're
about to have a meeting before opening." he said.
The inside of the restaurant was large, dark hardwood floors
lined the dining area with plenty of tables, in the middle of
the room was a large crystal chandelier. Off to the right side
was a door that lead to the kitchen and on the back wall was
another door. "This is the dining floor, we're always booked so
it's important that all staff try to be here on time. Over there
is the kitchen and the stairs that lead to the staff room which
is the basement." Ace explained as he lead the way towards the
kitchen. "The door off to the side is the hosting lounge, that
is where you will be working. Above the hosting lounge is a bar
which you'll see after the meeting." Ace stepped into the
kitchen, greeting a couple of the cooks who were getting things
ready for the night.

Div took in the place. His gaze lingered on the chandelier for a
moment before moving on. Either this place was new, or very well
kept. Their footsteps rang true over the hard wood floors, but
not a creak could be heard.
The smell of food wafted from the kitchen tingled his stomach,
but he'd had a sandwich before leaving.
"Hosts lounge?" Div asked "So that's different than being a
server?"

Ace nodded "There are several departments, the Hosts/Hostess
which are lead by Nina and myself, the servers which are headed
by Karl, the bartenders are headed by Gabe, the cooks headed by
his brother Luke and the security lead by my wife Alice." he
explained and opened the deer leading to the basement. "The
servers merely take orders and deliver them to their tables,
minimal interaction with customers, the lounge is more intimate,
hosts sit down and chat with customers, mostly the lonely rich
folk who aren't getting attention from their spouse, groups of
guys or gals out for a good time, that sort of thing."
"Normally we start newbies out on server unless they already had
prior host club experience...but my dear Alice likes to bully so
she's tossing you to my care." Ace sighed. "Try to keep under
her radar and I'll try to sneak you into servers." the basement
opened up to a large boardroom like setting, in the middle was a
long table with chairs, a projector at one end of the room along
with several doors. Two leading to the locker rooms, another for
the security office and the last door lead to Alice's private
office. The room was already filled with people, several sitting
at the table while a few were standing around or going in and
out of the locker rooms.

Div tried to make a mental list of all the names Ace listed off.
He was going to need a recap of that at some point.
At Ace's explanation of what the hosts did, Div lifted his
eyebrows. A host club? While he was a bit nervous, this could be
interesting. The thoughts of meeting a potential sugar momma
bounced around his mind for a moment before he quickly banished
it to the depths of his subconscious.
He followed Ace into the room. Yep, this was going to be an
interesting evening.

Ace took a seat beside a woman with green short green hair, she
wore the hosts uniform only instead of pants she had a skirt.
The woman tilted her head back and looked at Div, her light
green eyes inspecting him "Is this our newest one? I'm Nina the
other head host." she said and smirked as she turned her
attention to Ace "He's cute, we should try to keep him, if he
makes ti three days that is."
Across from them sat a man with long black hair tied into a low
ponytail, "Welcome new kid. I'm Karl." he said, his voice soft,
he turned his attention back to cleaning his glasses. "Right
enough introductions we have meeting to get through before
opening!" Alice said as she stepped out her office.

At Nina's comment, Div blushed a little. "Eheh, well..." Ht took
his seat as Alice stepped out. He didn't get the chance to make
a verbal greeting, but he nodded at Karl.

"Right. After last week's kitchen fire we had to close down to
get that repaired but that hose are finished so we'll need to
work double time to make up for lost profits." Alice crossed her
arms and shot a glare at a short brownish blonde haired man at
the far end of the table.
The man in question was busy filing his nails with ear buds on.
His ear buds were yanked out "Gabe pay attention. Alice is about
to murder you." Another man said, his blue eyes twinkling with
evil amusement. "Huh what the hell Luke? Oh the meeting
started...sorry my bad about whatever or something." Gabe leaned
back in his seat.

Welp, this looks like it's gonna be rough. Div thought to
himself as he watched. Clearly the guy... Gabe, was in deep.
This place seemed pretty strict. Div wondered how he'd not been
fired with an attitude like this. The cafe would've been rid of
him long ago.
