Once to the floor, john takes the lead and opens the door. The
hallway was barely lit under the fog lights of the backup power.
There were three doors in the hall other than the one they
entered. One on each wall and another at the opposite end.
Guards were escorting scientist out of the lab. One guard stayed
behind in the hallway. The guards leading the scientist took the
door at the opposite end of the hall. It must be a second
stairway.

Seeing the other people she immediately straightened up behind
John and focused. She looked around taking note of the guard
staying behind.

"Another stairway, good to know" Lya mused to herself. Seeing
the guard staying behind she bit the corner of her lip and began
clearing her mind. She would need to be ready when the timing
was right.

The guard notices them. "This floors already clear". "I saw,
just making sure. Remember last time someone got left behind."
john says with a laugh. The guard thinks about it and nods with
a smile "poor idiot almost got shot on sight.....wait out here".
John grabs the guards shoulder before he can go in "these ladies
say theyre lab assistants from this lab. Can they grab their
belongings real quick too.". The guard starts to get suspicious.
"I dont remember them from this lab...". John laughs and leans
into the guards ear. "They were having a little.....quality time
with the roof patrol. You know how sammy is". The guard looks at
the ladies and smirk "....lucky bastard.....alright ladies!" he
opens the door enough so they can get in.

Thea raised a questioning brow, wondering what he'd whispered to
cause the other guard look at them and smirk. As they got the go
ahead she nodded her thanks and walked past him into the lab.

Lya gave a small smile in thanks as the group went past the
guard. As she did she just barelt brushed up against him. It
was barelt noticeable, but just long enough to make the contact
she needed. A few seconds of hazy memory and he would have no
idea that anyone was left. Their meeting was no longer part of
his memory.

the guards eyes had a moment of cloudiness. John notices and
quickly wraps an arm around the guards neck and closes the door.
the muffled voices of john and richard talking to the guard
could be heard on the other side of the door.
the room was massive with lab tables lined up from the front to
the back walls, research papers covered the tables and three
doors lead to alternate rooms in the lab, one door in each
direction with the south door being the door that leads out to
the hallway.

Thea smiled, relieved the plan worked. "Alright lets get
searching." she said and looked around. "We should start with
the research papers, once we find the right set it'll make it
easier to find what we're looking for." she walked over to the
table and began leafing through the sheets.

The papers Thea goes through are mostly schematics of weapons,
and devices, and a satellite.
Lyas papers were formulas. One would have to be proficient in
science to understand what was going on, on the paper.
